Credo che in un contesto in cui il "sentimento" (la sua rappresentazione) è ipersfruttato, spettacolarizzato, banalizzato, prosciugato, reso alla fine stanco e privo di senso, ciò che davvero importa è recuperarne il senso pieno. E in effetti la sceneggiatura non è così lunga, considerando la durata del film. I dialoghi ne occupano una parte se non secondaria, non così rilevante.

Ciò che il silenzio esprime..ne parlavamo qualche giorno fa riguardo a Ferro 3....

Siamo al commiato e per vostra fortuna alla fine della settimana. La Rufus-mania si conclude qui, con un video in cui c'è tutto quello che io amo di lui : le commistioni musicali, il basso e l'alto, la voce, quel mezzo sorriso che ogni tanto gli viene quanto canta, la sua magnifica faccia.

Ennis e' gia' tutto in questa scena, riservato e taciturno.
Ancora non sa che amera' quel ragazzo (mentre Jack ha le idee un po' piu' chiare, secondo me)

E poi secondo me, ma per questo chiedo conferma a Frances, in questa scena c'e' una citazione filmica piuttosto chiara.

Chi guardando Ennis appoggiato alla baracca, con il cappello da cow boy, con la giacchetta di pelle, con i jeans, con le gambe incrociate e gli stivaletti, con lo sguardo rivolto a terra, chi non ha pensato almeno un istante a John Schleshinger di Midnight Cowboy.

Me lo terro' come sottofondo musicale per le serate di lettura o di lavoro al pc, o magari anche, perche' no, in certi momenti al lavoro...
