My friend just called me about it because she knows I love Brokeback Mountain. I said I was ok cuz she didn't know how big a fan I was, but now I just can't help but cry  :\'(

I can't stop crying, I can't. This is the worst nightmare, I'm totally devastated. How am I going to be able to watch the movie again? :\'( :\'( :\'( :\'( :\'( :\'( :\'(

This is too horrible for words, it can't be happening. He was so young, so beautiful, so talented. He has a loving family, a little girl. I was looking forward to seeing him in more films, he was going to win the Oscar some day... :\'( :\'( :\'(

I'm inconsolable right now. It hurts so much I can't stand it.

keren, I know how much you loved him.

We can't stop now.

A brief candle; both ends burning
An endless mile; a bus wheel turning

A friend to share the lonesome times
A handshake and a sip of wine

So say it loud and let it ring
We are all a part of everything
The future, present and the past
Fly on proud bird
You're free at last.

It always hurts me when young talented life is wasted. When Brad Renfro died a few days ago I was saddened as he was a great wee actor as well, but with Heath I feel I shared every minute with him on screen and so many points of view, laughs thrills hopes ( for the Oscar) with all of you that it seems to mean so much more.

I just grieve for all the great characters he still had in him, that I'll now never see. I grieve for Matilda and all those who loved him and I grieve for us as well.

Why him, God?  Why Heath?   :(  My boyfriend just called to tell me and I switched over to CNN Headline news right then.   :\'(  I can't believe it.  Our Ennis is gone.  No, it can't be so.
"You gave us hope, you gave us someone to love.
You lit up our lives in your short time here, our friend,
And the images of you will be in our hearts forever.
You made up believe that someone was out there
Who knew how we feel on so many levels and when
We saw you explore those feelings, our spirits soared
And our collective heart cheered.  You touched us.
And we will never forget what you gave to us, as
A community and as a world.  We loved you and we can
Only pray that you knew how much you touched us and
How much we all loved you and wanted to be beside you.
So you'll now be on that Brokeback Mountain we all dream
About, your spirit will ride the quiet peaks and we'll be right
There with you.  Rest easy, our friend.  We will always love you.
Heath, I swear...." :\'(

Replay: Ennis, tearful, lonely in a remote trailer, suffering a love lost; Heath, tearful and loney in a NYC Soho apt, suffering a love lost of Michelle and Matilda; this is so tragic and painful

Thanks. Please let me quote this from the end of the article.

"There's no way to make sense of this. No way to end an appreciation like this on an uplift when the news is so sad. If there's something positive to be said, it's that the best work Ledger left behind will last forever, and the rest is already forgotten."

The internet is going crazy with the news and all sites seem to be in agreement that we have lost an incredible talent. Some of the information out there is very upsetting though. I just saw footage of them putting him in the ambulance and it's left me cold. It's like I saw it so now I know it's true.

This is so bad I have to be here yet I have to go.

Ennis del Mar was a fictional character ... we know that.
Heath Ledger was a real man ... we know that.

Heath Ledger, actor, breathed life into a hero I didn't even know existed before his amazing performance/role in Brokeback Mountain.

Still the hero of my life, Ennis del Mar.

Thank you, Mr. Ledger.  What ever happened to you, it's wrong.

May I suggest a synchronized toast to Mr. Ledger?

I'm so glad this web-site exists, otherwise I'd have no place to share my grief. Thanks all.

*toast* ... TO MR HEATH LEDGER.

Ennis Del Mar is my hero!

Regardless of how or why - I am heart broken.  I simply don't want to believe it.

Now it seems as tho' Ennis has also died.  I know that doesn't make sense - but that is how it feels right now.

And although I have only been here a few times - I knew others here would know how this feels.

Mine are too. I've only just got out of bed and I came to check my e-mail ...

I've been sitting here for hours trying to think of something brilliant to say -- something that will put it all in perspective for everyone, including myself.  The truth of the matter is, I'm hurt, angry and downright devastated.  It's just not fair for someone so young with such a promising career to die.

I was in tears the first time I saw Brokeback and absolutely inconsolable the second, third, tenth time...
...and it was mainly due to Heath's performance.  I was upset when Heath did not win the academy award and threw a pillow at the TV.  But I knew in my heart that his time would come.  He was an amazing actor and would get that much deserved award one day.  And that award would be, in part, for Ennis.  It's too late now.

The Brokeback forums helped many people through the trauma of the movie and I have no doubt that we will be able to help each other through this tragedy.  There are many good people here.  We'll mourn and heal together.

My friend Anna, a new Heath fan just called me 10 minutes ago, and she was speechless...All i said was 'He had so much ahead of him, I can't believe it"...thats all i can say, and for his daughter. I give my prayers to her as well, having to deal with the split of her parents and now the death of her father.

I just watched the song "Angel" with BBM and I couldn't help but cry more... :\'(
