Sorry, the video contained pap shots

Watching them, I felt the need to share it with you brokies !!!  <^(
[/center]

Thank for this, sweetie. It made me smile so wide, and then cry. What a wonderful, loving, natural and funny man he was. I just wanted to hug him there, and tell him how special he was.

I would love to build a memorial with some Brokies. I was where his body laid in that chapel in Los Angeles the morning after, but I didn't know he had been mourned there.  It is just a place I find peace.  I'll have to let my tears and words be my memorial for now.  Lucky are those who came together and found a way of laying something down to find some peace.

jessi

Einstein once said that coincidence is God's way of remaining anonymous. I am happy for you, jessi, that you found peace in the chapel where Heath had been the day before. That's a special connection that will be with you forever. You are they lucky one.  :ghug: :^^)

Where can I build a memorial,
place stones and flowers for you,
far away from shore,
miles out to sea,
for you never just tread at the edge?
Where can I place tear soaked stones,
in middle of a desert where sun shines brightest,
and endless miles to roam, where great beauty
is hard to find,
the rarest of all hoarded?
Where can I bow in pain, choke on sobs,
build my memorial for you,
a mountain, in fields of wildflowers where not one
shows a glance of your greatness, or
a forest,
is there a tree magnificent enough, so tall and sturdy,
to put stones beneath, or
prairies...great plains washed pure enough for your compassion,
understanding,
my love?
Sweet angel,
my eyes and senses have been blessed
with heavenly sights,
this earth,
more magnificence than my soul should know,
I've seen,
but none,
not one,
worthy enough to place a stone
in memory.
Sweet angel,
all I have,
lifelong love
and thoughts,
heart full of your wonder, memories,
my words,
singing of you,
my memorial, sweet baby,
how, oh Lord how,
can I build a memorial for you?

Jessi, this is so beautiful and true.
Nothing I say or do,
can do justice to Heath's beauty,
magnificence, love, and compassion,
his unique understanding of people,
of the world.
The things I say or do,
are only a poor reflection
of what has been placed there
But now the source of warmth and sincerity
of love and compassion is no more
so I struggle to bring back memories of Heath
of remember what little I had
in every blade of grass
in every flower, or birds circling in the sun
in every picture of surfs and sand
in every smile that is happy and open and kind
The memorials are as much for us, as they are for Heath
They remind me of the man that was
The man that I want to remember until the end of time

 :ghug:
Heath, you are loved, like this, always.

Michelle, Thank you so much for posting it here.

I am so greatful that I had the opportunity to be a part of this tribute, it was realy painful and emotional, but also good to be there with Brokies, to know that someone will catch you when you fall. And yes, it was a beautiful place for him - looking at the water and surrounded by light, with the sun shining on him.

I also wanted to add, I felt that Heath was a big part of this gathering. I, personally, felt that he was with us all the time. It was the first time for me to be with other Brokies since he died, and it was the first time I watched the movie since January. So there was a lot of crying and all these emotions I try to keep bottled inside came bursting out... and as painful as it was, at least we could do it together, and be there for each other, and that was extremely important to me. Thank you for being there, friends.

I saw pix and heard about your tribute to Heath in Eau Claire when I was in Chicago, but now I'm home and can quietly appreciate and feel it, through your pix and words.  I'm so glad you did this, and in such a perfect, peaceful spot.

Keren, I felt very much the same way. I had the feeling that Heath was with us.

Dear Jessi, your poem is as beautiful as your feelings about Heath. And the best place to show these feelings,as Tony has said,is in all and each one of us.This is the best memorial we can build in his memory, and in the memory of all our beloved beings:the deepest part of our hearts. This is,more than a tangible place,no matter how beautiful it's,where Heath will live forever. %)

Ennis’s eyes gone bright with shock, mouth opening then closing again. “Love?” Ennis said finally, voice strangling in his throat.

Jack smiled sad. “Yeah, Ennis. Love.” Leaned forward and kissed Ennis’s temple, whispered, “What’d you think it was, all this time?”

Wonderful patchwork,Simone¡ It's a good choice of Heath's images, both tender and strong...Thank you so much for your gift, dear¡ And,yes,we also miss him very much;it's difficult to "erase" somebody who has meant so much for you in only few months. He'll be a memory that forever will stay with us... %)

I had a dream of Heath last night.  I was a friend of the family, and was hanging out with Heath, Michelle and a number of others at a party.  (I don't remember Matilda being there.)  I was so aware of having the most serious hots for Heath and so I was avoiding eye contact, though often standing close, etc.  Let me tell you, he was such a presence in the room.  Definitely "larger than life."  Then, a very strong moment at the end when we sat together and finally our eyes met.  Nothing to do with the "hots" at that moment, just of a very powerful connection.  End of dream...  And I'm glad I had it.  Like a moment of hello and goodbye perhaps.

Asali and I made this tribute video for Heath, the video footage and some pictures are from our meeting in Eau Claire, for now we were only able to upload it to livevideo.

This is what Asali read during the video, this is the poem on the wreath made by LuvJackNasty

In Our Hearts
(author unknown)

We thought of you with love today,
But that is nothing new.
We thought about you yesterday,
And the days before that, too.
We think of you in silence.
We often speak your name.
Now all we have is memories,
And your picture in a frame.
Your memory is our keepsake,
With which we'll never part.
God has you in His Keeping.
We have you in our Heart.

And these are the significance of the flowers used by LuvJackNasty

Pink Carnation: I'll never forget you; gratitude. The carnation is the flower of January

White Roses: Reverence and remembrance

Daisy: Loyal love; youth.  The daisy is the flower of April.

And this is the video on livevideo

Thank you both so much for putting this together.  :ghug: :\'( It was a moment that is forever etched into my mind and heart. A moment that I wish more than anything wasn't necessary but.... I just don't have the words right now other than thank you both from the bottom of my heart for doing this.  :ghug:

Beautiful pic indeed,Mikele;yes,it's like he's in Heaven...And beautiful words also that fit very well with him and with what all of us are feeling.Take your love with you when you go... It's sure that he has taken all our love when he has gone, and that relieves me very much.Because he knows now that he was not alone, that his death has left a great hole in a lot of people's souls. Thanks for sharing with us. :^^)
Thank you to enjoy it  :^^)
As the moon lingers a moment over the bitterroots, before its descent into the invisible, my mind is filled with song. I find I am humming softly, not to the music, but something else, some place else, a place remembered; a field of grass where no one seemed to have been except a deer, and the memory is strengthened by the feeling of you, dancing in my awkward arms.............

Thank you so much, Titabeille! Your "patchwork" is really beautiful!!
Yes, I still terribly miss him, so I can understand you. After nearly four months when I think about what happened I find it unreal, absurd. I have many pictures and articles about him stuck up on the doors of my wardrobe (a "patchwork" like yours) and often I look at them and think: "It's impossible! It isn't true."
I put also a picture of Jake Gyllenhaal (found on an Italian magazine next to the title: the cowboy remained alone) among those of Heath, and when I look at him I wonder how he can feel. I am just an Heath fan, and I miss him so much. Who knows what are his best friend's feelings?
There is another actor (Keanu Reeves) who lost his best friend (River Phoenix) so suddenly 15 years ago and who said: "I miss him and think of him everyday" (I found this on IMDB). I guess it's the same for Jake about Heath  :\'(  :\'(.
I am sure I will never forget him. I'm so in love with BBM  <^(, and this is also because of him, because of the unforgettable character he brought to life.
I know life has to go on, but it will be forever an empty seat where he should have been. Forever a missing voice, forever a missing look without him  :\'(  :\'(  :\'(  :\'(.

I thought of you and how you love this beauty,
And walking up the long beach all alone
I heard the waves breaking in measured thunder
As you and I once heard their monotone.

Around me were the echoing dunes, beyond me
The cold and sparkling silver of the sea --
We two will pass through death and ages lengthen
Before you hear that sound again with me.

I find I am humming softly, not to the music, but something else, some place else, a place remembered; a field of grass where no one seemed to have been except a deer, and the memory is strengthened by the feeling of you, dancing in my awkward arms.............

You're right,Matt,he's now in a better place,or at least,in another world different from ours. But he'll never be gone completely as long as he stays in our mind and our hearts.Nobody is gone forever if there's one single person who remember him and miss him;the oblivion is the real death. And Heath will live forever because he'll never be forgotten. :ghug:
Ennis’s eyes gone bright with shock, mouth opening then closing again. “Love?” Ennis said finally, voice strangling in his throat.

Jack smiled sad. “Yeah, Ennis. Love.” Leaned forward and kissed Ennis’s temple, whispered, “What’d you think it was, all this time?”
