Eleven months have passed and it still seems like yesterday to me. it doesn't get any easier. :\'(

It's hard to believe it's been so long :\'(

To Keren, and everyone else who is feeling sad today :ghug:
He will be eternally missed, but he will never be forgotten

Christopher Nolan, accepting the Best Supporting Actor Golden Globe on Heath's behalf.

He was, as an actor and a professional and a human being, one of a kind

Charles Roven, accepting Heath's BAFTA.

This award tonight would have humbly validated Heath's quiet determination to be truly accepted by you all here — his peers within an industry he so loved.

Kim Ledger, accepting Heath's Oscar.

 :ghug: Everyone :ghug:

Eleven months have gone by both quickly and slowly without him.

Quickly and slowly, and terribly sadly.

You are still loved, Heath.  Always.

Time does not bring relief

Time does not bring relief; you all have lied
Who told me time would ease me of my pain!
I miss him in the weeping of the rain;
I want him at the shrinking of the tide;
The old snows melt from every mountain-side,
And last year's leaves are smoke in every lane;
But last year's bitter loving must remain
Heaped on my heart, and my old thoughts abide.
There are a hundred places where I fear
To go - so with his memory they brim.
And entering with relief some quiet place
Where never fell his foot or shone his face
I say, 'There is no memory of him here!'
And so stand stricken, so remembering him.

MPJ, This is so moving.  :\'(
Thank you! ^f^

Thinking of you and your family this Christmas Day.  I hope they're able to find some measure of joy and peace.

My heart is with Heath's family today... last year he was there and they celebrated Christmas together.
The truth is... sometimes I miss you so much I can hardly stand it.

Mine too,Keren... :ghug: It's so unfair that a family has been broken in such an stupid way...How many souvenirs of this last Christmas they'll have, about the last time they kissed or hugged him ¡.Yes,it's so,so unfair... :\'(
Ennis’s eyes gone bright with shock, mouth opening then closing again. “Love?” Ennis said finally, voice strangling in his throat.

Jack smiled sad. “Yeah, Ennis. Love.” Leaned forward and kissed Ennis’s temple, whispered, “What’d you think it was, all this time?”

http://www.mp3lyrics.org/n/neil-young/old-man/

Neil Young Old man Lyrics:

Old man look at my life,
I'm a lot like you were.
Old man look at my life,
I'm a lot like you were.

Old man look at my life,
Twenty four
and there's so much more
Live alone in a paradise
That makes me think of two.

Love lost, such a cost,
Give me things
that don't get lost.
Like a coin that won't get tossed
Rolling home to you.

Old man take a look at my life
I'm a lot like you
I need someone to love me

the whole day through
Ah, one look in my eyes
and you can tell that's true.

Lullabies, look in your eyes,
Run around the same old town.
Doesn't mean that much to me
To mean that much to you.

I've been first and last
Look at how the time goes past.
But I'm all alone at last.
Rolling home to you.

Old man take a look at my life
I'm a lot like you
I need someone to love me
the whole day through
Ah, one look in my eyes
and you can tell that's true.

Old man look at my life,
I'm a lot like you were.
Old man look at my life,
I'm a lot like you were.
Lyrics: Old man, Neil Young [end]

The lyrics are very simple but they became meaningful  to me since it is one of Heaths favorite song...especially this words...

  ....I've been first and last
Look at how the time goes past.
But I'm all alone at last.
Rolling home to you.

Just felt like posting...came home from the doctor's today and had ET on while I was eating dinner and when they talked about stars they lost in '08, Heath was the first one mentioned, having clips such as from the Brothers Grimm, saying in an interview with Matt Damon, "I hope my life will have a happy ending" and then a Brokeback clip with Ennis saying, "Well I guess I'll see ya around?"..And then the song, the song was the worst because I remember the night after Heath's death crying because of that song. Angel by Sarah McClain. It all definatly made me realize how hard the one year anniversary of his death is going to be on me and many Brokies still mourning his death  :\'( :\'( :\'(

Oh Lis, I know just how you feel. This time of the year is so tough, esp hearing people talking about him with all the awards and the one year anniversary approaching. I often feel choked up with tears when I think about him, the pain does not get any easier. Here's a big hug to you, and everyone who needs it  :ghug: :ghug:

I intend to take the day off work on January 22. It's obvious to me that I can't work on that day. :\'(

I don't know how I will feel on January 22. It will be a hard day and to try and focus on school that day, oh I don't know. Maybe I'll do the same thing as Keren and call in sick or something.

I liked the way Sara S. talks about Heath in this article ...

Thank you Keren :ghug: Many hugs back to you as well.

I'm sure it's not just me but I feel that this sadness comes in waves. Most of the time I feel ok towards his death but for a little over a half an hour, I feel kind of depressed and then I'm fine again. Does anyone know what I mean?

I wish I could take off a day from school but I'll probably have to go. I'm probably not going to be very talkative though that day..I know that fact for sure  :-\\

I know what you mean Lis. It's very confusing sometimes. It can be little things that start it. yesterday I was listening to the interview with Van and when he talked about Heath I just lost it. I was crying, out of control :\'( I had no idea that a person I didn't even know could make me feel this way...

It does come in waves, and anything can set it off - like a photo or a song or an article or a post someone writes.

When I post pictures of him it makes me feel better. but when I read the articles and the tributes, that's when I usually start to cry.

I thought things would get better with time
I guess a year isn't enough time
It still hurts so much that you aren't here
I love you more then I thought I did and I hate that you had to die before I realised that
There will never be another Heath Ledger for me, there is just one Heath, and thats you.
Thank you for the little time you were here, something inside me happened when I saw your smile
I just wish that I still could have that feeling. Now when I see your smile it makes me miss you more and my heart breaks in a million peaces again.
I will never forget the day you left us. It was like something died inside of me.
Still, I'm very happy for the time you were here and made me and so many other people happy and that you shared your gift with us. You are truly amazing and will never be forgotten.
