Mine are too Pierre. That little girl lost her daddy.  :\'(

I only watched BBM for the first time 2 months ago.  What a revelation the movie was, what a revelation Heath Ledger was.  I had BBM fever for like a month, had trouble sleeping for days.  I'm afraid to watch the end of the movie b/c it depresses the hell out of me.  I can only watch the beginning, to see the beauty.  How beautiful was Heath in that movie.  Like a teen, and I'm certainly not near that age anymore! I started seeking out all the movies this guy was in.  What a talent.  Monster's Ball, Brothers Grimm, even A Knight's Tale.  Seeing the previews for The Dark Knight, I was blown away by him and looked forward to watching although I really don't care for batman movies.

How shocking, it's like I barely "knew" this guy and now he's gone.  In interviews, he seemed so sweet, a bit shy.  How others described him, Jake Gyllenhal "Heath is sensitive" drew me to him even more.  To think of how many more great roles he had in him, what a waste.  Yet, I can't help but feel in his short life he accomplished more than well...I have.  To have helped create something as powerful and beautiful as BBM that has touched so many people...

So young, so beautiful, I don't think any actor's death has touched me so.  Just like BBM, Heath's death leaves me aching with what could have been.

:\'( :\'( it is 17.46 pacific time and I just heard the news form my friend who is from Perth, Australia.
I am shocked, this morning I had thoughts about how life is so fragile and how fortunate it was to live in these times, the poem I had posted yesterday was a reminder of my cry for love lost, and today love has died with my hopes of what this human being offered and had in store for many of us in a not so long distance.
I feel shattered, and I know the same applies to all of us, this is truly a devastating day
Why one earth must we always have those we love taken away
this BBM all over again
 ~) ~) ~)
I can't stop crying, why on earth i dont get it?
sorry
I just went to this link to light up a CANDLE for HEATH LEDGER :^^)

Is there a group to link us all together? Where it asks to associate are candle?

I can hardly believe this. I feel so incredibly sad about Heath's death. He was such a sensitive and vulnerable person. Makes me want to cry.

Watching CNN thisafternoon the news came to me like being kicked in the stomach.  I couldn't believe what my eyes were telling me.
All I could say at that moment was HOW... and WHY?
Later it was revealed that pills were involved..... so sad.  I'm in total shock.   :\'(

Some time has elapsed.  I have talked to several Brokie pals.  We all are asking the question:  Are we demanding too much from our stars and heroes that they feel they need to turn to drugs to fill our hunger for them and their wonderful acting?

Sadly, I'm afraid the answer is yes!  I could go on, but not now.

Heath, my friend, rest in peace.  I will miss your smiling face.

Jake, when you read this, and I hope you do... Please take time off, lots of it for R & R before you do another film.  We love what you do on the screen and knowing another project will be coming down the pipe... in time.  I need to know you are OK and will be with us for a long long time.

.........HEATH, I SWEAR.........

Why does the news say he had pnuemonia? What does that have to do with anything?

It is possible that the prescription sleeping pills combined with the pneumonia could have caused his death.

You're right.  I really hope that this was accidental.  I would hate to find out that he really wanted to end his life.  I'm thinking about Matilda right now too.

Oh my God!! :\'( :\'( :\'( :\'( :\'(

i'm without words just now. This can't be happening. :\'( :\'( :\'( :\'(
The most difficult scene was the paragraph where, on the mountain, Ennis holds Jack and rocks back and forth, humming, the moment mixed with childhood loss and his refusal to admit he was holding a man.

- Annie Proulx -

From the vibration of the floorboard on which they both stood, Ennis could feel how hard Jack was shaking.

To be an actor is to touch the boundries where we are most afraid to go. To be an actor is to push beyond the zone of comfort and show what we least want to see. Heath Ledger was able to do that and to touch our hearts and souls. He made the deepest and in the end the greatest sacrifice. Thank you friend, thank you. May you play with the angels now and be at peace.
There was some open space between what he knew and what he tried to believe, but nothing could be done about it, and if you can't fix it you've got to stand it.

Ennis, riding against the wind back to the sheep in the treacherous, drunken darken light, thought he'd never had such a good time, felt he could paw the white out of the moon.

I sit here grieving for a man I did not even know. Yet, in a way I did, as all who were touched by Brokeback Mountain, by his Ennis. My life will be forever changed.

There are no words that can make sense of, or give comfort to because Heath is dead.

Good night, sweet prince. May flights of angels sing thee to thy rest.

B

"He was the refuge of my spirit, the sweet solace of my griefs...what more is there, then can I say? Was it not a foretaste of blessedness thus to love, and thus to be loved?" St. Aelred, from his eulogy for his lover, Simon.
