Of course, of course it's Heath in the truck with Alma at the drive in. But does anyone else think he looks like Woody Harrelson sitting in the truck at the drive-in? Each and every time I've seen that shot, I've throught "oh my god that looks like Woody" in spite of knowing otherwise.
Yes, I know this is silly to bring up, but it has hit me each of the eight times I've seen it. Anyone else have this experience??

Can't say that I have. I just keep thinking....shove her out of the truck and drive to Texas ENNIS!
-
I can't say that I ever thought he looked like Woody but I also never thought he looked too much like Ennis, in fact the first time I saw that shot it took me a moment to realize it WAS Ennis.
-
LOLOL Yes, I noticed that too. IN that shot he looks like Woody.
-
I also noticed that Ennis/Heath looks a little different in that scene (his face seems narrower and more drawn). Now that you mention it I guess he does sort of resemble Woody!
Then again I think Heath's face has an unusually wide range of "looks". Which is good for an actor!

OK, I thought it was just me. I could spot Jack anywhere anytime regardless of the age makeup. It took me a while in some scenes to realize that it was Ennis.
-
I'm wondering why they called him"Woody"? ??? Now that's a hard question.
-
Glad it wasn't just me, then! I hesitated even posting this for fear I'd get laughed or flamed.

Lol! You know it!
I never noticed, but come to think of it, he did look somewhat like Woody Harrelson. Where I got confused was when he was working on that road crew. I saw the movie 3 times before I realized it was Ennis and not Jack! ::)

camom - You are like the mom to all of us here! I'd bet you'd make us all Cherrycake and cup a strong brew and we could do an all night discussion group. Hope your family don't mind late night lights!

Ha, and then I'd make everyone write a paper on the significance of BBM, due in 2 weeks. Unfortunately, I don't bake very well, definitely not cherry cake (never even heard of it). I can make coffee, but it's french press (how's that for yuppie? naw, saves energy); not very BBM, lol!
This is our night discussion group--and I'm in California, so it's hardly late at all. ;)

Yes, it is funny that you mention it. At my *ninth* viewing I noticed that in the drive in movie scene, Ennis did remind me of Woody Harrelson and now poking around this forum, I just found this string...
