Best. Gay. Week. Ever. (February 22, 2008)

The Oscars are Sunday night and a lot of folks aren't particularly excited including our own Brent Hartinger who today writes about why he just doesn't care that much anymore.. How about you folks? Take our poll and let us know what your Oscar plans are.
This Sunday features the 80th Annual Academy Awards. Will you watch?
1. Of course! The Oscars are my gay Super Bowl and I never miss them!
2. Yeah, if I'm around and there is nothing better on.
3. I stopped watching the Oscars after Brokeback Mountain lost Best Picture.
4. I never watched the Oscars and won't start now.
5. Only if I ever finish reading the BEST.GAY.WEEK.EVER! How long is it anyway?

Voted number 3, too bad there's no re-edition of last year boycott and a common screening somewhere. :(

God, it's been about a year since then, no? And so many things have happened since then...
We can dedicate this year's boycott to Heath's memory. They can honor him all they want to -- now that he's gone. How convenient it is for them, no? They didn't want to give him the laurel when he was alive, so why now?

I voted #3 and I agree with what you said Thomas.

Don't know where else to post this, but I just read an AP story indicating yesterdays 80th Oscar broadcast maybe the lowest rated yet.
They ARE becoming irrelevant, and, as we all know, have proven themselves so to be.

Yes, I saw this too -- about 36 Million or less? If it came to a tenth of that, I would be much much happier!
