Already been refuted by Heath through Focus Features.....people love bad news..

[/When one reporter asked what the difference was for him between making love to a woman in one film and to a man in another, he replied, "The stubble."

Yeah..and if it is a bad publicity for BBM.
-
Honestly, why would Heath say such thing that Jake is not deserving?
Heath Ledger says he was simply praising Clooney (like most of us thought), the media just blew it all out of proportion.
Regarding my earlier post about Heath Ledger's press conference at the Berlin Film Festival in which Heath remarked about George Clooney in Syriana, I misinterpreted my source and stand corrected. Ledger was simply praising Clooney, not suggesting that he was any more deserving than anyone else of an award. Towleroad recently received a statement directly from Ledger via Focus Features: "They missed my point. The whole concept of competition is just surreal...I honestly think that everyone should walk away with an award."
-
Isn't it amazing, no matter what bonehead comment Heath makes he always has a cover story. (like, he was nervous. I know hundreds of straight men who act "gay" because they are nervous)
-
well, well, well
Towleroad recently received a statement directly from Ledger via Focus Features
so they do read the forums and want to know what we have to say

Dude look at this it is not better :o It's easy to say sorry after publicing it ::) the media hate him, they just want BBM to be horrible with false things
In a recent interview with Heath Ledger we may have misquoted him slightly. Our reporter Gary Jacket quoted Heath as saying "Let's face it, Ang Lee is a talentless nonentity who is no Steven Spielberg and couldn't be George Clooney if it tried. Basically, I carried Brokeback Mountain, I was surrounded by some of the most hopeless actors ever and let's face it, the script that I got sucked before I went through and rewrote every line. Quite frankly, if Brokeback Mountain wins any award except best actor for me, it will be the biggest miscarriage of justice since Citizen Kane failed to win Best Film. I am Heath Ledger, hear me roarr"
Examing the evidence, we find that Heath Leger's actual words were "I quite liked Munich".
We apologise, on behalf of the British Enquirer for any confusion caused.

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!That is a big strech for such a simple statement!!!!

Larry McMurtry has said that Heath Ledger was the one who came up with the idea of reversing the shirts in the final scene of the film, having his-Ennis's- shirt outside Jack's. That was the scene that first made me cry the first time I saw the movie. For that depth of insight into his character alone, IMHO, he is hereby absolved and excused for any "bonehead" thing he might say now or in the future. He can call his gay fan base a bunch of bloody poufters for all I care.
And for the record, I don't believe he said any of the "blasphemies" thus far attributed to him. Certain elements in the press will make-up a story if the real one isn't juicy enough for them.

My Gawd! Can this be true? I've heard of taking artistic license, but this is ridiculous. That article is SO defamatory, there ought to be a lawsuit!

No it's not true.
Just the way all the members of the cast support each other.
BTW Jake is goodfather of Matilda, the daughter Heath and Michelle.

awww! they chose Jake to be her godfather!! lucky Matilda!

Yes, it must be true because Heath Ledger said it. He is after all the new Jesus of Nazareth because he appeared in a gay movie.
Actually the article I quoted had a follow up posted that was sent to them by Heath's publicist. They had a clip and said watch it and judge for yourself. I did. It could be interpreted either way.
I'm not quite ready to appoint Heath and Jake the new poster boys for gay men just yet. Obviously there are many on this board who already have.

look, Heath has sudden fame, this will lead to misquote and tabliod
interest. We respect your right to post this topic but we are ready to let it go and get on with
other cool chats...
