Gracias WildcatIsle. What a wonderful interview! The French interviewer did an excellent job drawing out so much information from Annie.
I love the way she described her creative process. It reminds me of Michaelangelo working with marble, the sculpture is released from the marble, just like the story is revealed from the landscape.
I will have to watch it multiple times, there is so much treasure in the long video.
:t) :c) ^f^

Thanks so much for posting the video, WildcatIsle.
It is great and I like the part where she said she enjoys being alone and not feeling lonely. To me, that is very liberating personally.

Yup, this is great! Gracias WcI! (Do you ever sleep? O0)

Thanks, WcI, for posting this interview. I found it of great interest. However, it ended very abruptly so I was wondering if there's a continuation of it somewhere in which, maybe, she talks about Brokeback Mountain? That I'd especially like to see. Also, do you have a date for interview? Anyway, thanks again for posting.

You're welcome LC, Ethan, rdx & chowhound. The interview is from June, 2008, on the occasion of the publication in France the French translation her book The shipping news

O my gravy. Gracias amigo! That's a wonderful interview. Annie was so articulate and eloquent describing her creative process, and I am only ten minutes into it. I will have to watch it over and over. There is something about Charlie Rose that allows usually shy laconic people to open up to him. :t)

Thanks, WildcatIsle. Do you know when the interview took place?
AP looks great and relatively young in the video.
-
¡Gracias ¡ :) Yes,Annie looks younger in this interview; I'm also wondering its date;no matter when,it's very interesting ¡

All of you are welcome :) The video is available commercially, the date June 6, 1999
