This is kind of an obsessive thing to do. Here are driving directions and a map from Childress, TX to Riverton, WY. I sooo would've done it, too. There probably wasn't even a good set of interstate highways back then, so imagine the time it took. There had to be so much more than "a couple of high-altitude f#cks."

Well when you are in love you do crazy things. Wow all that driving and Jack wasn't bored with it either. He kept coming back over and over again.
-
i knew exactly how Jack felt tho....i drove from Ceres, Ca. to Fort Hood Texas to see my "Ennis". It was his first three day pass after being drafted. Since I knew how shy he was I wanted to give him the chance to be straight if that is what he wanted, (when u really love someone ya gotta think of them first), so I brought a willing female with me for him. At a certain time I retreated to the bathroom with a six pack of beer so they could have some privacy....later when he knocked on the door, he said he couldn't "get off" and amazingly we had the first tent scene in the bed next to hers....wow...until this movie I had not thought of this in years....
-
drove from Ohio to Ft. Lauderdale a few times! It didn't last (turned out he was kinda hooked on drugs).
-
Flew from Montreal to Boston. Did the same to Atlanta but, I was also to attend a wedding, this one doesn't really count. Took the bus many times down to Albany or Syracuse.
-
2 hrs on buss, one hour by plane, another hour on bus....and three hours waiting for planes and busses... No high altitude f***, but then no love either ::) keep seeing the man tho..glutton for punishment...
Norway to LA for Jake??? No time needed to think about that ;D
-
Esme darlin' you are an inspiration to Gyllenhaalics everywhere!
-
drove 7 hours to go on vacation in Provincetown with my lover once.......unfortunately he wanted to go with his.

If my man Jake called, I wonder how far I would drive to get to that boy? Just to look into those dreamy blue eyes.

ar, ar, ar,
"pluck your magic twanger, froggy*"
that is from a US commercial of about 50 years ago had something to do with Buster Brown Shoes and a children's program. could be the root of nightmares for people around here.
-
I travelled a lot ;D
by train.. by plain... I was always the one ready to go...
so maybe I'm a "Jack", but indeed I feel like Ennis ...

I have a "friend" . My only one at the moment who lives 2000 miles away, I've a feeling we may just be doing it for real soon. The travelling that is...the rest will just be a bonus
Have I shared too much....ah well I'm amongst friends

I flew from Houston to Paris once, searching for someone I had had a severe infatuation with. Had a crazy idea that I would just accidentally "find him" somewhere in Europe during that summer 15 years ago! What a joke! Eventually caught up with him in Mexico City when he returned to the Americas a year later.
-
I find myself thinking of a NC to Idaho trip!! ;D
-
I live in Canada and my lover lives in Germany.I can't drive there that means a lot of air miles. She would do the same from Germany to Canada if that was possible the relationship is complicated. We could always be on the same plane and join the mile high club,Don't I wish >:D
-
I live in Taiwan, and my husband in US. How about that? But you know what, we couldn't have done it if this was a secret relationship with little hope of ever progressing anywhere. And I believe that's what made Jack's effort so heart-breaking and great at the same time.
