VH1 Cast Party: Brokeback Mountain Movie Special
Here are the show times:
Thursday, Jan. 5 @ 1/12c am
Friday, Jan. 6 @ 11/10c am

I don't have VH1 :-[ but hope someone will be able to see it.

Do you know what time that will be here in Los Angeles? I have tried to look it up on vh1, but I can't seem to find anything. What is the name of the show on vh1 that will have the BBM show?

I checked the schedule for both Thursday and Friday on VH1 and I don't see it there. BBM, where did you find that schedule?

My Tivo box shows that it will be on at midnight on 1/12, and again at the same time on 1/13. This is on DirecTV, but I would assume that it would be the same time for cable channels.
Also, Anne Hathaway is going to be on "Live With Regis and Kelly" on 1/10.

A friend of mine told me this schedule. Perhaps it has changed? Can someone please confirm? Thank you.

The schedule on midnight 1/12-13 is the correct one. It's called "Brokeback Mountain Movie Special" on VH1. I already set my Tivo up ;)

Man I would love to see this TV Special. Does anyone know if it is playing in Alberta, Canada (the place the movie is shot)? I don't have VH1.

Wow, you're in Alberta huh? Are you close to the mountains where the movie was shot. If I lived there, I would definitely make it a point to go out and look at the vistas ;)

I am 20 mins from the town it was filmed in. Going to head there on the weekend just for fun sake. From what I can tell they actually filmed the back of the buildings on the street (alley).

I found that it will be on in Los Angeles on Friday 1/13/06 at 1pm.......

Hahah thats what i did before I went to see it the second time! My (guy) friends wanted to convince everyone to change plans and see Dick and Jane and I was like "noooooooo i've been waiting all week to see it again! *PROMISE* you'll come with me" and basically forced them into it ;)

I went on the VH1 website to their tv schedules:
and they call it VH1 Cast Party .. Brokeback Mountain special

Right now I have found it twice:
January 6th---12 noon Eastern Time
that would be 11 am Central ---I am central, and I am pretty sure that is right.
January 11th/12th Central time would be 12 midnight the 11th
Eastern Time is 1 AM the 12th.
the VH1 Schedule goes from 6am one day until 5am the next day---so their midnights/early mornings are all listed under the day that starts 6am. So you actually find the listing on the 11th. So it is sort of confusing. but you can find listings for two weeks at a time, so it quits on 14th till later.
Jake is going to be on Leno-The Tonight Show--Friday Jan. 13th
Heath is going to be on the Tonight Show---Tuesday Jan. 17th.

ranchgal, thanks for the confirmation of the schedule. I won't be able to see these programs. If possible, it would be great if you could give us some updates for those who don't have the VH1 like me. :)

Well I am going to try to be home and tape it, at least one of the showings, I am ususally up on this dumb computer till well past midnight anyway--so IF I don't get it over noon--I will at the evening.!
Also the Tonight shows with both of them.

I am going to try to dvd record it next time it comes on, I did get a tape made of the first one.
ANd my tv listings still were showing a different program while the special was on!
But it was great--you get to hear Heath with his real voice, and Jake too and ANG and all the girls, and you can see the differences betweent the actors and their characters.
I really enjoyed it!!

VH1 must have gotten some good feedback, because now it is named and listed on my tv's guide for programming.

Although only 30 minutes long, I thought that the VH1 special was wonderful! Thanks, everyone for posting this. Hope they show this some more to get a wider viewing audience.

Hmmm.... seems like the VH1 special is the identical to the LOGO TV special that can be downloaded from their site... Just as well, it's nice seeing it on TV ;)
