Sign the Petition!!, We could get so much signatures from this site!
this is what it states:
"To: The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences
We believe the Academy had the opportunity to vote for four fantastic nominated films for best picture in 2005. In addition, there were many other fine films that were not nominated. We believe that some form of mass hysteria must have taken over the voting pool this year. How else to explain that a picture as bogus, far-fetched, tone-deaf and facile as "Crash" could have won anything but a Razzie? I mean, God, this makes "A Beautiful Mind" look like "Citizen Kane." Please consider an immediate recall on the selection of "Crash" for best picture. Lord knows California knows how to recall. "
Theres over 100 signatures already, though it does not name Brokeback as the worthy winner, I think we all know thats what it means ;). And if you read the signatures most people leave a comment saying BBM is the real winner and was robbed.
I signed the petition with 104 signatures, where is it at now?

Hey guys,
This isnt' the spirit of BBM. I think it's time we stopped this and moved on.
Ok, a bitch and moan here and there, but we are giving the Academy way too much power.
So they voted for it, maybe they like it. Whatever.
In the spirit of Jack and Ennis I say we focus on what is important. and not give Hollywood
more power than it deserves, just like Ennis gave society too much power and turned his back on
what was important.

I'm agree with you. I really like the movie, "Crash" and the movie win, okay that's good for its. Really. I'm sure the movie deserved an Oscars, but.. I don't know "Best Pictures" I just think this is weird. But, once again, there is nothing specially against "Crash". Because like you said alterall, all this stuff is not on "The Spirit of BBM" and I agree.
But the petition is not really against "Crash" itsself, it's against The Academy logic and industry.
Brokeback Mountain, is not even quote into the petition's text.
