Woke this early a.m. to thunder and lightning, but this is WI, it's March and the forecast was for snow, lots of it.
Now some 12 hours later, we have the snow, in abundance, enough to close higways to the north. Anyway, it all got me thnking about the roads in BBM. Roads lead us some where and it seemd as if the roads that led Jack & Ennis to their greatest joy were little more than a path, a trail...the road less traveled. Could this be another symbol for us to ponder, and in relation to what?

"And I chose the road less traveled." A beautiful line by Robert Frost, but in affairs of the heart do any of us have a choice? As a young man at some point I realized that I saw the world somewhat differently then the people around me. It was more than knowing that my sexual orientations was off center. Maybe it was because of that. I don't know. But I do know that I consciously chose to travel roads apart from the mainstream of the society I lived in. My life isn't easy but I have no regrets. As for the roads my heart has made me walk, well I had no control over that. I've walked them and I hope learned from them. I've made mistakes, lord knows I've made mistakes and I hope I've learned from them. But I never chose those roads of the heart. They chose me. I can't fix 'em so will have to stand 'em and keep walking down 'em if I have the chance. If the army don't get me. ;)
