DVD release is around the corner in the US but at the same time it means BBM is gradually leaving the theatres.
Are you ready for Ennis and Jack entering your home?
I actually have a mixed feeling about this. After having seen BBM on the big screen for 8 times, I think I will be hesitant to unwrap the DVD when I get it. I don't think I am ready for Ennis and Jack entering my home.

I absolutely can't wait. (Like I have a choice! :P ) No talking, awkward laughing or cellphones going off.
Plus a few people I know will finally get to see it. And I can see it whenever I want.
Big screen is set up and waiting!

I can't wait! I've been doing the countdown every day. I can't wait to bring the boys home! My daughter's first softball game is on 4/4 so I can't watch it then. I have a "date" with my friend on 4/7 so we can watch it at her house because she a) wants to see it again and b) her house is kid free and we can have peace and quiet to enjoy it. I just need to find a special place to keep it so no one touches it. I look forward to putting a few scenes in slo-mo and freeze some other scenes. ;D

I really don't know how I will react. I might take a day off from work, how much sleep will I miss? How much tissues will I need tough, I cry less now but... in the comfort of my living room, all by myself :-[

Same here Chameau! Mine's not being lent to anyone! It doesn't come out here till the 24th April I think >:( but i'm looking forward to it! The only thing that will probably ruin it for me is that I share a room and I will probably be interrupted a lot and my family will laugh at me for crying so much etc! Also i'll need to find time to watch it cuz i'll be working and my boyfriend won't be best pleased if I don't see him cuz I wanna watch it! (He won't watch it with me :() But yeah, i'm ready! ;D Lauren x

I'm more than ready. It left the theaters over here quite awhile ago, so I've been having to get my Brokeback fix from talking to you guys, and while I love you guys, it's not the same thing. I can't get it the second it comes out, because nobody will take me to get it then, but as soon as my brother wakes up on the morning of 4/4 I'm getting it and watching it on a loop until I have to go to work.

What do you think?! Of course, they're coming home with me and also sleeping on my bed next to me ( ;) ;D)... I can't wait and only 11 days to go, as you said it's almost around the corner (yes!) also my sister will be watching this movie because she haven't, I'm getting one special DVD for her.

Thay just entered my home..uncer my arm..just now... gonna get the plastic off right now ;D And I guess it will go straight in the player even tho I am going to take a shower...then thay will be on when I come out ;D

Yes and I feel almost guilty watching before anyone else here gets a chanse. But I wont be able to until tomorrow anyway. Cause my portabe don't take zone 1's.. but tomorrow, gonna get home from work at nine am, sleep untill five, because Padfoot will be away with my parents..take a shower and snuggle up in my comfy chair with dinner and watch it before I go to work again :)

I'm crossing the days off my calendar! I'm taking April 4th off from work, I'm spending the whole day with Jack and Ennis, watching them do what they do best!!! ;) ;D

I just told mum and dad to take a hike so I can watch it in peace and quiet. But still there is the annoyance of the clatter of dishes and ppl watching past the t.v >:(

I'm gonna watch it once by myself first, or maybe with my sister, and then a second time with all my friends. Most of them are straight guys, but I told all of them they're watching it and only one objected. The others said he's a homophobe and that they'll make him watch it.

I am more than ready - it has been over 2 months since I last saw it and it is still in my thoughts every day - albeit not to the extent that it was at first (you know, can't eat, can't sleep, can't focus). Anyway, I want to have a BBM slumber party....my girlfriends and myself, lots of comfort food, beer and KLEENEX!!

I don't think I am 100 % ready to see them at home. I am a bit afraid of how I'll handle it... I could actually breakdown totally. Probably I will cry just seeing it in my mailbox.... uh... on the other hand, I would not NOT pre-order this film, I can't live without it.
I agree with some of you who will not have this film leaving my home. I will NOT lend it to even my BEST friends. I might bring it to them so we can watch it together, but kending it - NO WAY!

With the anticipation of DVD being delivered to me next week, I keep playing the scene in my head when Ennis first got his postcard from Jack.
Wouldn't it be nice to have something that comes with the DVD and say
"Friend this DVD is long over due..."

Hi - this is my 1st post (although I've been *lurking* as a guest for awhile) I just had to tell someone that I got my 1st BBM DVD today!!! (I have ordered 3 from different sources - just to be sure ;)). It arrived via Priority Post from Wolfe - sadly the Bonus Features are basically all features/interviews I've seen before i.e. the Logo special, Ang interview, etc. no extras and/or deleted scenes but I think that was expected. I have not viewed the movie yet (wating until the kid is in bed!) but I am looking forward to seeing it with subtitles which may or may not clear up some discussions! Welcome home cowboys....

I rent my DVD's from a little mom & pop operation. Was there today picking up some viewing for the weekend and she told me she already had it but wouldn't take the chance of renting it before 04/04. Seems like she could get into big trouble if she did. I almost knocked her upside the head and rifled the place to find it. Hehehehehe If it's not in my mailbox Tues. you are gonna hear some big time howling from this silver wolf.

I can't wait to get my own copy on April 04. However, i have mixed feelings. watching BBM in the privacy of my own place or with close friends...that will be like jack & ennis being on BBM, where they had the whole world to themselves. I know watching BBM at home will be an awesome experience for me.
However, having watched BBM in the theatres, it's more special cuz it's in the mainstream. I saw how my friends and I reacted towards the movie in public. As well, got to see the general public's reaction towards the movie. It's like Jack and Ennis watching how their "society is watching them".
Regardless of my babbling, yes, i can't wait to bring Ennis & Jack into my home :-)

I know what you mean. I got reminded of just how nervous this kind of movie makes me, and how easily embarrassed I am. It's like I'm a little bit scared of what people are thinking when they see that I'm going to see it. I'm kinda nervous when waiting to see any movie at AMC, though. I think I'm a little agoraphobic or something.
I also got to see other people's reactions. I got to see my friends and my mom tearing up when Ennis goes to Jack's parents' house. I got to see that old couple leave during the second tent scene, and the whole audience giggle when they left. I even got to see guys trying to cover up the welling tears in their eyes as they're claiming that their girlfriends dragged them there.

I'm more than ready!!! It's so exciting to know that I will have Ennis and Jack in my sights whenever I want.
After a phenomenal 2 and 1/2 month run here I'm ready to bring the boys home.

I don't know how I will react when the DVD shows up in my mailbox. But I CAN tell you this...when the soundtrack CD arrived, my hands were shaking so bad I could hardly open it. When I finally got it out of the box, I couldn't open the jewel case. I dropped the darn thing and the lid to the jewel case broke...but I got it open ;D! Had extra jewel cases, so I just put a new top. Thank gawd the back of the case didn't break, I would really have been upset. :( By the way, don't order from WalMart.com...it took two weeks for that darn CD to come in. Whenever I order anything from Amazon.com, it always arrives in just a few days. I ordered the DVD from the Universal Studios website, they said it would ship today. Hopefully it will arrive at least by Tues. But I think I will go to WalMart at 11:30 pm Apr 3, and get one anyway...probably stay up all night watching it ;D! Donna

I think I was very content having the boys live at the theater. Going to visit them became a kind of ritual. I'm going to put off getting the DVD, and, for the moment, just "let be".
Then again, putting off addictions can get you into trouble. I might end up buying 20 copies and EATING them!
<OT> I bet this will be one of the most successful DVD releases EVER!

saw it at the movies again tonight, and as wonderful as that is, I actually prefer to see them here. At home, on my own. I kept worrying that people would laugh when thay shouldn't and not get it and stuff. Tha lady next to me opened her water bottel every time Jack and Ennis became intimate ::)

So true. Yesterday during my viewing, one thought came to me.....
If the audience can get passed the second tent scene, everything would be all right from there. :D But actually it doesn't bother me, it is a reality and at least Focus Features got the ticket sales. ;D
I think I am ready to bring them home.

Yes Ethan I am bad I deserve to be punished...I will not do what I usually do and watch the reunion kiss before I go to bed, I have always been ready for our boys to enter my home and thay are now part of the household... ( I will cheat and watch the second tent scene tho)

Yeah, I am nervous about watching BBM on the small screen. But Jack and Ennis are too big to be contained to the small screen, so we shouldn't worry! P.S. go get a BBM shirt! Hot Topic! I love mine! It says "I wish I knew how to quit you" and it's dark brown and has a saddle in the background that is a lighter brown! Everyone loves it! : :D
