Bucking controversy
"Brokeback Mountain," a love story between two cowboys, would seem to be a natural to spur strife. So, where are the protests?

Actually I think this will change if the movie wins Golden Globe's and then gets nominated and wins Oscars. The Christian Right are hoping this movie will just fade into insignificance but I dont think its going to do that. The next 3 months will tell - and its going to be very interesting.

Well, interesting to read such an "old" thread. The fears (or hopes of some) about Brokeback just vanishing into oblivion have certainly not come true. And the fundis had to make a move. Isn't going to help them much, though. I just hope there won't be any BBM-related hate crimes by some desperate weirdo!
