Topic: How long were they on the mountain that first summer?

Just curious how much time they spent together that first time since that was the biggest stretch of time together at all it seems.   No clue when you would bring sheep up but if I recall, they came down mid August? Wonder how long they were supposed to stay up there for if not called back down?

I would expect that they started in May at the earliest.  It would have been too cold up in the mountains before that.  Hence, they stayed from May to August, at the most, IMO.

Yes, it was meant to have been till September but the storm came and gave Aguirre a reason to bring them down earlier. But theykept those months - they seem afterwards to have met in March, August and November , presumably because February up on Brokeback would be too cold even if you could get there.
