When they're at the bar at the begining and Jack tells Ennis about the lightning storm that killed 42 sheep - Ennis's mouth kinda hangs open at that and he looks at Jack like "huh?"

Indeed, it was as if he was totally disbelieving. It is equivalent to an Ennis "huh" in every way.

We'vl been there, haven't we, where the most important thing on earth is to get there and see the beloved - I can recall shouting at traffic lights and walking up and down trains trying to speed them up - I would say" and speeding" but I do that anyway. This is such a credible detail.

i love that too...and I love Jack when he says he thought he was gonna "axphixiate" from the smell? Is that even a word? i couldnt find it in the dictionary. Spelling is probably wrong...but I thought it was so cute ...like he was trying to impress Ennis with his vocabulary.

Don't be! You learned a new ( if prettyuseless) word - now all you have to do it work it into a conversation sometime.

One of the things that makes me smile is the way they srand there in Aguirre's trailer not quite knowing what to do with themselves or their hats, and the way they put them in even before they're out of the door - like two naughty kids who've been told off and now are pretending it all never happened.
