Which show?  ;)

If I were to invite both of them out with Alma and Lureen, I would take them to a dance hall or a supper club and watch them exchange glances from across the table.  I am sure it would be more subtle than the ones exchanged betwen Randall and Jack...

I just picture this ,Alma, Jack, Ennis and Lureen all sitting around a table together. ;D >:D Who would be glancing at who? Ennis, I'm sure would have that cowboy hat a little lower on his eyes, and  shifting nervously in his seat, and poor Jack? Jack is left to fend for himself, at which within minutes ,Jack will have successfully charmed both women out of their high heeled shoes. ;) :)...   very interesting.

This could be a recipe for disaster.   ;D  I would even bet that the biggest fight probably would be between Alma and Lureen.  I suspect that both of them would very much dislike each other...

Yes,a disaster and, even and if we're a little mischievious >:D ,fairly hilarious. But I don't know if the biggest fight would be between the two women; I have always thought that Alma would begin to remark what Ennis liked most-everywhere...-as a way to say Jack "You can't give him this..."; then Jack would reply maybe biterly and the 3rd World War would begin ¡.  :*(
Ennis’s eyes gone bright with shock, mouth opening then closing again. “Love?” Ennis said finally, voice strangling in his throat.

Jack smiled sad. “Yeah, Ennis. Love.” Leaned forward and kissed Ennis’s temple, whispered, “What’d you think it was, all this time?”

You might be right, MPJ.  Given what Alma saw and knew, it would probably begin this way...   She probably might even become confrontational in the presence of Jack.

Well I can imagine what Jack would to say to that!, but I'll keep that little tidbit to myself >:D ;D, though that would leave him to explain to Lureen what all the hostility was about! With Jack's bitchiness, Alma's anger, Lureen's forthrightness, and Ennis, well on his way to a 9th shot of Old Rose. and a temper to beat all get out..well the S@#t's  gonna fly...as well as the food I fear. Not pretty.  :cr)and here's wishing a
