Alma and Ennis at the movies
« on: Feb 22, 2006, 04:17 PM »
When Ennis and Elma are sitting in their car at the movies, You see Alma moving Ennis hand in the direction of her breast.
Does that basically mean Ennis was not that experienced with woman either, or that he lost intrest and perhaps his thoughts were on Brokeback Mountain at that particular time ?

I thought she was putting his hand on her stomach. She was pregnant and wanted him to feel the baby kick.
Dog Canyon, Texas is the most beautiful place in the world. You should check it out.

You're right, Bram.  That's what the screenplay indicates.  She feels the baby move, so she puts his hand on her belly.

I've read the answer in the screenplay and published movie credits...can I tell, or is that cheating?   ;D

Don't think so The film was fine. I wasn't embarrassed seeing a film about gay love, but I was embarrassed by the fashion at the time.

I think there is more chance of someone coming out after taking their wives to see BBM.   I mean come on now.....Jake Gyllenhaal or Michael Ontkean,no choice really.  That boy Jake could turn anybody.

Ok, the movie they are watching is "Surf Party."

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0058626/

I think instead of watching a cheesy drive-in surf movie, they should be watching a cheesy drive-in horror movie.  :)
