IMO Jack is saying "I might be back" " if your going to be here". Maybe he should've been saying" I'm not going anywhere without you" I agree with Greenfrog. If Jack would have turned that truck around and came back, opened the door and told Ennis to park his ass in that passenger seat and quit playing, Maybe he d a got somewhere. + he would have seen how much Ennis wanted to go with him by observing his behavior in the alley. He should've been more forceful in my opinion..... But that's just me.
