oh God, there are waaaaaaaaaaaaaay too many. shit, this is hard.
Dunno where to start. So here we go:

1. When they meet ( 'your folks just stopped at Ennis?' )
2. Jack singing Water Walking Jesus
3. First tent scene
4. Second tent scene
5. Grass wrestling ( after 'time to get going cowboy' and before the punch  :'( )
6. Reunion scene
7. 'it could be like this...'
8. The hug that satisfied their sexless hunger
9. 'I wish I knew how to quit you'
10. 'You can go up to his room'
11. Breathing in......
12. That Kurt fella, he loves you?
13. 'Jack, I swear'

oh, and there are more, but these are the first....13 :P that came to mind :D

I also really like that scene..its so beautiful and touching and loving and sad to when he rides away..there expressions are of love and devotion and they look content in that one moment..

so hard to pick just one ... one of mine is ... well, TWO of mine:

1) when they see each other again (first reunion) and they WANT to kiss each other but dont

2) the "death of innocence" (refering to the dead sheep) after the first night in the tent and their first lovemaking

Me too noreins, its that look from Ennis to Jack that gets me about this pic.  He's almost reaching round to look at him.  Its so beautiful.

I love the entire movie.  It is so haunting.  However, my favorite scenes all involve Ennis being true to his feelings.  He has a happiness in his eyes that disappears and is replaced by the realization that people would rather kill than allow love.

Welcome Justina.  You will find very deep lovers of Ennis here.  Your observation about the eyes is so true, particularly in the scene right before the story of Earl and Rich...

Those moments before the second tent scene when Ennis is sitting by the fire obviously struggling with should I or shouldn't I ...we can see Jack in the tent...Ennis looks over and then rises and walks towards the tent..we cut to a barechested Jack obviously nervous and then Ennis is there at the tent flap, hat in hand and they lock eyes....

This is a very tough question.Cuz all the scenes were acted so well, I have to go with the "waterwalking Jesus" scene Jack is singing . they seemed so relaxed with each other. So comfy. Plus it's also the scene where Ennis makes a blatant pass at Jack sure nuff Opportunity knocks.

My favourite is their last meeting but that's because of the quality of the acting and the fact that it includes the flashback which is my ultimate favourite moment. That embrace, that music, that face.  <^(

 Almost (but not quite) inseparable from this though are SNIT because of the gentleness of the love shown, the motel scene when Jack says 'ol brokeback got us good' and the 'anything up there in heaven' scene.... oh I've got to stop now because really I could put virtually every scene in the movie where Jack and Ennis are together here. I just love the thing as a WHOLE.

For me, without any doubts, it is the flashback scene, followed so closely by the second night in the tent they are almost inseparable.

The ( dozy embrace)  is one classic scene from this movie .I love it . It shows the " deepness of the whole relationship between these two, a loving comfort zone for them both. SMITTEN  to the core.

It's so hard to choose just one when all the scenes are stellar, IMO, but the reunion kiss gets me every time I see it in the film, in vids, or in my mind.  Up until that time,I'm not sure they are really in love, but that clinches it for me.  If it's not love, it is certainly out-of-control WANT and NEED, and that's just about the same thing to me.  I will never tire of that scene.

I read this whole thread about a month ago and could not come up with a FAVORITE scene because the whole movie is so amazing.

After much internal debate, i would have to say my favorite scene takes place during Enis and Jack's last camping trip when Jack says "Sometimes I miss you so much I can hardly stand it."  After being together almost 20 years and all the separations, hurts, misunderstandings and lies, that simple statement is so powerful.

It was at the beginning of a fan vid on youtube that they show Ennis saying "I gotta go...see ya in the mornin". After "I gotta go" Ennis does a quick sideways glance, almost like he's looking for a reaction, only to have Jack ever so slightly shaking his head yes. Then after "see ya in the mornin'" he turns away and almost purposfully, doesn't look back, like if he looked back he may not go up to the sheep. I know all this was present in all the umpteen times I've watched this scene but for some reason seeing it all by itself in that fan vid, I saw so much more that I ever did before. This will forever be my favorite scene.  :\'(

OK, my favorite scene has to be the scene after SNIT when they are playing around out in the grass. Ennis grabs Jack's hat (so cute!) and they start to wrestle. I love this scene because it is one of the few moments of true happiness for Ennis and Jack. There is no looking around to make sure no one is watching, no regret, no fear, just pure happiness, that giddiness that can only come with first love. It is so powerful to me for some reason. Ennis seems so at ease, so comfortable with Jack and we rarely see that. Of course there are many other scenes I love, this one just sticks out for some reason
