bbm stuck in your head

        does anyone wish they had never seen bbm because once you have seen it you cant get it out of your head?

Oh, God, NO!  I just wish there were more movies of this quality.  As it is, BBM stands alone for me and has become a part of me.  I LOVE it!  Although some parts hurt so good, I cherish them all.

  Yes, I have. at times when I'm at work and I keep thinking about Ennis and Jack when I'm trying to concentrate. I work with numbers and some times ,pictures of Ennis  and Jack dance in my head, But I never , ever wish that I had never seen it and I surely don't want a cure for whatever ya call what  this film has done to me. I love these guys.

No.

For one, it had made it possible to connect with like-minded people who share very similar sensibilities -- this may not have been possible without the film.

I don't know it we should move this topic to the BBM Experience part of the forum.  We'll keep it here for now...

No. Not even in the early days when I was completely destroyed and devestated by it. All of those tears- in the car, at home, at work etc were/are all worth it. I've made wonderful new friends because of it. A whole new world opened up to me. I love those boys, I love this movie/story and I am so grateful that it came into my life. I wouldn't trade one second of the heartbreak (that I still feel today) in for anything.

It's exactly films/story like this that challenge us.  Painful as it to a lot of us, I rather have the pain.   Look, being in this forum, talking about this film, I've come across thoughts, feelings, fears I thought was limited to my own little world.  I've also found new ways of thinking and looking at the world around me. 

So thank you to this film, this forum, and all of you.

Yes, the films/stories that challenge us are the ones worth cherishing, and not the ones that gives us a couple of hours of idle, empty amusement.  I would not have it otherwise.

That movie has giving me so much in every way, that I wouldn't give it up in any reason. :)

The most difficult scene was the paragraph where, on the mountain, Ennis holds Jack and rocks back and forth, humming, the moment mixed with childhood loss and his refusal to admit he was holding a man.

Just the pictures of the mountain, of the part of America that I love, the empty part, would make it worthwhile even were it not for the unforgettable story and the tragic ending.

There were times in the first 3 or 4 months after I first saw the film that I did sometimes wish I hadn't seen it, because I was worried about the intensity of the emotional after-effects, or PBS as it's called hereabouts. No other film or story has affected me that strongly, and I felt as if I had been blindsided. ( Like Jack must have felt after Ennis slugged him on their last day on the mountain.) Thank God this forum was here to show me I wan't unique or alone in feeling that way. It made me feel a little less crazy!  ;)

It is still a painful experience to watch the film or read the story, but the pain isn't as intense or frightening anymore. I welcome it now, and it seems more "normal", somehow...

The intense emotion and the heartache -- it is worth going through all that for the sake of beauty.  And there is plenty of beauty in this film/story.

i only watched the film about 5 weeks ago for the first time i boorrowed it from a friend and within 3 days of watching it i went out ant bought my own copy that is only 5 weeks you are talking months god can i take the pressure of having jack and ennis dancing around im my thoughts for that long .sometimes when i watch the film it just leaves me wanting more.if ennis had gone to jack i wouldnt be feeling like this .sometimes i feel like throwing the dvd in the bin but course i wouldnt do that because i love the film and i love jack oh and of course ennis i wouldnt be without them now .
