I don't know if this new book has been discussed anywhere on the forum, but I just found it yesterday at Border's Book Store and was blown away. It is truly a beautiful tribute to Heath.  Title: Heath Ledger, Holywood's Dark Star, written by Brian J. Robb.    It is an oversized paperback with many beautiful pictures of Heath, many from his movies.  The narrative is excellent.  Each page contains one or two quotes from Heath himself -- true insights into his mind and soul.  I haven't finished reading it yet, but the first half is a wonderful explanation of everything Heath -- his childhood, where he came from, his family, how he got involved in the art of acting, etc.  I can't imagine but the second half will be as good.  I will mention this on the book thread, also, but I know lots of people who frequent this thread would be interested in this book.  I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.  It is amazing to me that such a well-done effort has hit the bookstores so soon after Heath's passing.  Robb did a hell of a job synthesizing (sp?) Heath's life.

Dear Lamusica,  I have bought that book two weeks ago at "Waterstone's bookshop", you are right, it's very well done, full of pics and Heath's quotations.

"Australians are the world's greatest at cutting you down size, and I'd better not forget it.  I just have to remember not to take myself too seriously" (Heath Ledger)

"Somewhere inside if me, I knew instantly what to do with this character.  I didn't have to search, I had a plan of attack.  I feel it's something I know how to do.  It'll be dark and sinister and exciting" (Heath Ledger talking about the Joker)

"If you just be safe about the choices you make, you don't grow" (Heath Ledger)

"I think Ennis punishes himself over an uncontrollable need - love.  Fear was installed in him at an early age, and so the way he loved disgusted him.  He's a walking contradiction" (Heath Ledger talking about Ennis).

 :ghug: :c)

6 months.

I still wonder how is that possible, that you're not here. I still don't understand how, and why, of all the people in the world, how could it have happened to you. Why you.

I can't believe that I'll never see new photos of you in this or that event, attending premieres and film festivals, or just wandering around in the streets of Manhatten with Matilda on your shoulders, wearing your stripey clothes and bright colors. I can't believe that I won't see you walking the red carpet again wearing your old scruffy shoes. That I won't hear any new interviews with you, talking in that deep, low, sexy voice that I love so much. That I won't hear about any new movies that you're filming, and get all excited when I'm waiting to see your incredible talent shine on the screen again. That there won't be anything new to look forward to.

I know I've never met you, but I miss you so much.

The truth is... sometimes I miss you so much I can hardly stand it.

Thank you so much,Barb,Michelle and Andrew.  :ghug:  :ghug:  :ghug: I've said nothing but the truth; Heath is,from 6 months ago,the star that shines the most in the sky.The same that he was shinning as a person and as an actor while he was here with us... :\'(       :^^) :^^) :^^)
Ennis’s eyes gone bright with shock, mouth opening then closing again. “Love?” Ennis said finally, voice strangling in his throat.

Jack smiled sad. “Yeah, Ennis. Love.” Leaned forward and kissed Ennis’s temple, whispered, “What’d you think it was, all this time?”

I don't know if this has been posted anywhere ells...

But (as far as I know) Jake Gyllenhall still hasn't talked to the press about Heath's death.
And I think, that's a really, really beautiful thing, actually.

As said in this article:

While many stars have issued emotional tributes to Heath Ledger, his best friend Jake Gyllenhaal has remained silent following the actor’s tragic death last week. And now sources on the set of Jake’s new movie says he’s taken the news harder than most people. “This has had a strong personal affect on Jake,” says a friend on the set of prison movie Brother. “He was there, but he wasn't with us. It was obviously a major trauma. These guys were very close.” Only a few weeks before Heath’s death, Jake – who is godfather to Heath’s daughter Matilda – jokingly stuck a picture of Heath on the wall of his on-set cell. “Like prisoners who put loved ones on a wall, Jake’s was Heath Ledger,” says the source. “That was hilarious. It was a nice moment. When you think back on it now, it’s touching.” After shooting some extra scenes for the movie in New Mexico, Jake is now on compassionate leave and has been seen with girlfriend Reese Witherspoon in Los Angeles, although it’s thought he’ll fly to Perth, Australia, for the funeral.

I think it's ironic somehow, that this reminds me of the relationship between Jack and Ennis in the movie...
Their love for each other is so real and their bond is so strong - that no words can describe it. And they don't know how to describe it themselves - because it's simply too strong.
Jake and Heath was obviously really close in real life too. And in a way... The relationship between them too can't really be described in words. I don't think Jake knows what to say - He can't find the words to describe how much Heath meant to him.  <^(
They had something special.
And it's nice to know, that Heath had such an good friend.  :)

I believe that anyone who inspires so much love in so many people can never truly be gone. He lives on in every heart that shares that love with someone else. And long after we’re all gone, the ripples of that love will be felt by generations to come who may never know where those first waves came from but will reap the benefits nonetheless.

I feel that way about each and every one of you as well, and am proud to share that love with the people in my life, and hope that they will pass it on with as much appreciation as I have.

I’m so glad to have had the opportunity to discover him during his lifetime and, through him and Jake, all of you. I feel truly blessed by both and am more grateful than I can say to be able to be here with you, especially today.

Barb,is for people like you that BBM got its success more in emotions and feelings than in budget merely;that we felt and keep on feeling this bond that join us to some characters, their actors and director and among ourselves;that we all know we're not alone in grieving someone we haven't known because the distance is in miles, but not in love...So,every word you have dedicated to us,any of us could dedicate to you;and I,myself, can dedicate them to any of you too. %)   :ghug:

6 months  :\'( Still can't believe this is happening.
The most difficult scene was the paragraph where, on the mountain, Ennis holds Jack and rocks back and forth, humming, the moment mixed with childhood loss and his refusal to admit he was holding a man.

- Annie Proulx -

From the vibration of the floorboard on which they both stood, Ennis could feel how hard Jack was shaking.

Heath you will always be remembered, in loving memory of you

Brokeback Mountain was the first movie I saw
With you in it and it kept me in awe
Atfer that I was hooked on your face
On your big wide smile and your eyes full of grace

I saw every movie that you were in
And I fell in love with your infectious grin
Evening after evening curled up in my seat
I watched you, you made me complete

Then the news came that you died
I felt ripped apart, completely, inside
I couldn't believe that you were gone
And I cried my eyes out from dusk til dawn

It's been six months now and I still can't believe
That you are gone, but I am naive
You seem so alive now The dark Night arrived
It feels like you're here and that you survived

The Joker is one of your best performances so far
Including the role of Ennis, what made you a superstar
I haven't seen it yet, but I will in a day
And I know you won't disappoint me and blow me away

My sweet Heath I wish you were here
To hear the standing ovations at the premier
They are all for you and you deserve them so much
An amazing actor with a wonderful touch

I still miss you every single day
I hope you can feel our love and that you're okay
And although we are a thousand miles apart
I will continue loving you with all of my heart

Just copying my post from the Candle thread here, because I can't think of anything else to say today:

6 months since you left us ..where has the time gone  :-\\ Still seems like yesterday

And as life goes, it's easy to forget you're not here, until those moments that remind us and we stop and think about you.

6 months and you feel increasingly like a dream, a beautiful dream, because you gave so much in so little time,

You'll never be forgotten

Till next time Heath..take it easy out there, xx
