Sometimes I look at the name of this board and just this phrase, "In Memory Of Heath Ledger" is like a punch to my heart. It's like I can't believe that I'm reading these words, it's not right. It shouldn't be. How is it possible? And all of a sudden it sinks in, and I start crying just from reading the title of this thread.

Yes,the other day I was thinking this too...It seems as if everything was a bad joke,or a marketing strategy,or...I don't know,but there're moments when I still can't believe there's almost 2 years that he passed away.Not in the case of somebody who has given so many good moments and,specially,a role as Ennis,that has made so many lives change for good.It's not fair,but often life and death aren't...

I came across this item in today's Globe and Mail (Toronto):

An Australian rapper who was a boyhood friend of Heath Ledger has released a music video the star directed shortly before his death.
N'fa Forster-Jones posted the 3-minute,31-second clip for his song Cause an Effect on his YouTube and MySpace pages on Thursday
Forster-Jones, who had been friends with Ledger since they were toddlers, said the video was shot in one day in the garage of Ledger's beachside apartment.

This is the link to the video, it's great to hear everything that N'fa has to say about Heath and their working process. They were friends since they were kids and he makes a beautiful tribute here.

Hey, EJ4eva - the photos you are looking for would now be in the archives of "Oh baby pix", in the cast & crew, Heath section, and the moderators could tell you if they could still be accessed.
   But the same photos keep showing up on the several forums, of Heath in that purple beanie, sitting next to Lily Cole, in London, and a few of him looking fairly scraggly, on the streets of New York, so, they continue to be posted.
  They first showed up in November/December, prior to his death, so it was more the issue of those of us who felt something was wrong, and said so.

   On every forum it was pretty much a hurtful issue. Many fans had an extremely tight defense perimeter against a deliberate over-dose, and so, were fighting off any reference to depression or personal life troubles. They equated empathizing with depression and/or turmoil with movement towards the wrong conclusions (not accidental).
   Since then, though, we've learned he was very ill, and exhausted, and had an extremely painful sleep disorder, and discussion of his life hurts have been more out there. The latest being Terry Gilliam's references to Heath's personal troubles. It's now possible for those who were worried about those pictures not to be accused of something more than empathy. It's pretty much out there, that some things were going wrong.
In the process of exploring the months before he passed, much was also developed about how, despite his hurts, he was very much embracing life and full of plans for the future. He was planning to open that tavern in Brooklyn, for example. And he was scheduled to meet Steven Spielberg, to discuss a film, on 1/23/08.
It was an accident. But there are lingering hurts in some of his fans about whether it could have been prevented. That's not ever going to die away completely, but most have focused on celebrating his career and gifts. One thing everyone who cared about him seems to agree on: he should not be forgotten.

I remember leaving A Knight's Tale early
and sneaking in to see Pearl Harbor,
the former just not being serious enough
for me at the time. I wanted something
big, dramatic, epic-in-scope, like Gladiator
or Braveheart, something inspirational.
Pearl Harbor was a bust - I kept guessing
at endings I thought would come but never
did. A few years later I saw Ned Kelly at
a house owned by some people from a church
I used to attend religiously.
I was the only one who really dug it, I think, for more
than Orlando Bloom or for Ledger's curly locks
and so on. Here was the inspiration I was
looking for, the sympathetic antihero
trying to make things right. Then there
was The Brothers Grimm, a great film to look
at if nothing else, with its earth tone reds
and grays, its trees straight out of Sleepy Hollow.
Looking back I think I saw every one of his
movies with a different girl, from 10 Things
which I saw with my sister. You could trace
my entire romantic development by the
curve of his career. And now he's gone.
It's strange how things can affect you that
you know probably shouldn't. How the absence
of someone you rarely even think about,
let alone know, can make you feel your own
mortality. But it happens. Heath Ledger is dead.
No more movies, no more dates who stare
at Ledger's head two stories tall. All that's left
are the DVDs, remnants, memories of things
that used to be brand new, unseen. Years later
I saw A Knight's Tale in its entirety and was
impressed by Ledger's acting, especially toward
the end when his character refuses so adamantly
to give up, to give in and run away, to quit.
Heath Ledger's dead, and I'm afraid there'll be no sequel.

Yes,we wish each other a happy new year that it has just begun because it's what we would like for our beloved beings.But we never can imagine that someone of these beloved beings can go away after so few days and after so short years of living...And in a month that it's one of the hardest ones,because the happiness and lights of Christmas are over,weather is rougher and colder,and it will be during many weeks more...In this situation,Heath's passing extinguished all our lights of joy and froze the heat of our past Christmas celebrations.And still it does.
