I also think they are both cute in the shooting the elk scene- Ennis with that proud little hint of a grin. And right before FNIT when he throws the bottle and says "shit" and then when he's crawling on the ground and pointing up saying "It's too late to go up to them sheep" and then he groans- I make that sound too That's my Ennis sound. I think that's cute because it cracks me up.

Oh the elk scene. Ennis giving in to Jack, but not letting Jack know that. I adore it.

And the whole drunk scene is great....Ennis plays a very good drunk!

Another cute moment - Jack singing and Ennis playing along, then saying "very good" at the end. Cute, cute, cute!!!!!!!

What I certainly found cute here is Ennis's smile. You can't see Jack's reaction -- but Ennis's smile and Jack continuing to play ther harmonica indicates that they are now truly comfortable with each other.

OMG, I just said that over and over again in a thread I started some time ago. Older Ennis is so f***ing sexy and, at the same time, he has a special sweetness, a painful sadness in those amber eyes that melts my heart everytime I see them. And what about his messy hair? And those delicious wrinkles? He looked like a real cowboy, he had something rough and almost wild inside of all that quietness. I love him. I wish we had some more loving scenes between these older men. I bet older Ennis was so tender and still so passionate with his man beyond imagination.

but speaking about Ennis,I beg you not to "hate" me for what I'm going to say.I don't find Heath particularly sexy; he was( he was¡... :\'( ) attractive,gorgeous,but not specially sexy ( at least not as I find Jake...)IMO.

But I think that he got to give his Ennis an almost primitive,sensual and sexual attraction far beyond from this image of "tender provincial"- as somebody called Ennis...-.Something tenderly and sweetly animal,or animalistically tender,but very "on the Earth", as his character itself...

Baby Tammy,

Older Ennis is what I like to call "the total package". For all his faults, Jack had to be attracted to the challenging air of mystery surrounding this man. He is one tall sexy cowboy, bashful in manner on the surface, but underneath, as you say I bet too that he was a passionate tender lover . Maybe this explains the "brilliant couplings" of Jack and Ennis. I feel that though shy, he could very much go toe to toe with Jack when it came to sexual matters. My imagination runs wild...

well im going to just say the cutest i dont know to much about the sexy side of things

i think some of the cutest Ennis scenes are
1) during the scene were he says rodeo cowboys are all f*** ups and he looks at jack smiling waiting for the reaction.
2) the laugh when jack falls over when pretending to be on the bull
3)when he is waiting for jack to come before the reuinion kiss and he is being really impatient thinking he might not show and then that smile when jacks truck pulls up (this is probably my favorite cute scene of ennis')
4) the way he looks around all smiling before he pushes jack into the wall for the reunion kiss
5) when he says jack f***in twist before the reunion kiss

so cute

i will think of more and post them oh just thought of another
6)when he is carving the horse for jack

One cute moment that seems to stick to me is at the campfire, whiskey and a joint in rotation, when Ennis smirks at Jack and slowly turns straight forward again. I believe it's right before Jack starts off, "Tell you what.."

Sexiest - a couple:

1. Ennis playfully suggests Jack quiet his harmonica down, while on horse back, and again, smirks how he does.

2. He's taking a sock off while Jack fumbles with the can opener, and he's about to shave, strip and wash. Sitting there with his bold statement of blue jeans and sexuality..

Ok, 3. SNIT when he's being lead down onto Jack's chest and can't do anything but give in to his feelings. And he's taking in Jack's scent, kissing him, being kissed and held.

Whew I gotta stop now.

There is a strong sense of anticipation here -- we see it especially with Jack. Yes, the overall effect is very sensual.

Although I find it somewhere between cute and sexy, I also like Ennis' energy when he kicks the snow after Jack tells him it's early quitting. It's like a hidden foundation of a 'relationship', the signs of an actual couple and the aches of one unit having to separate or rather fall apart..
And then at another angle, Ennis' anger can easily be sexual/sensual because it's a very aggravated and thin layer upon a love already poking to be free.
In distant eyes I think Ennis is generally quite transparent..

I got confused with your cute moment....thought you were referring to a brokeback memory, but I know see it's later, when time has passed and Jack first lies, then bares his soul to Ennis....after "tell you what", Jack admits "the truth is"........and yeah, Ennis offers Jack cute looks, but also unbearably sad ones, particularly after this unrequited declaration. :\'(
