I think the cutest Jack scene is when he drives to see Ennis after the divorce is final. It starts out with Jack's absolute child like happiness, that just sort of screams, "yeah, I'm going to be with my man forever...finally". It turns into one of the most heartbreaking scenes, but before that happens, Jack is so cute in the way he's all jumpy and nervous and happy and excited all at once, and still has that look of need of approval from Ennis even though in that moment, he thinks he has it. The way Ennis is kind of backing away from him, and he so blinded by happiness, he just doesn't get and keeps moving towards him anyway. Jake acts the whole scene perfectly. How do you not fall in love with Jack in that moment?

Yes, I did find him adorable in the scene when he drives to Ennis's place after his divorce.  But nowadays, I anticipate what is about to happen, and pity him the disappointment that is about to come...

It was so bold of Ennis to kiss Jack in the open like that. His love was so strong that he momentarily forgot his fear of being found out, and just let his passion and emotions and feelings and love come pouring out. It looks like in this scene, Jack is like "this is sort of awkward", he just wants to get the hell out of there and be alone with Ennis.

It was so bold of Ennis to kiss Jack in the open like that. Indeed, his face  reflects how awkward the entire situation was for all of them, even without any knowledge that Alma had seen them.  It sort of disarms Jack, and that is what makes him look so cute in that particular scene...

Wow, as many times as I have seen this scene (and there's no way to count) I never thought of it like that, I always focused on Jack just being in shock that Ennis couldn't wait to kiss him, when you know that he spent that whole drive thinking, "I hope we pick up where we left off". But I can definitely see that it would cross his mind that this is the woman who gets his man everyday. I do wonder what he was thinking about her, or how he had pictured her.
But I really think what makes Jack so cute in this scene, is his shy, almost innocence. He wanted Ennis so much, and when he got there and got what he wanted without even having to ask for it; well, he was like an excited child in a candy shop, wasn't he?

This whole scene in the kitchen entrance was intense as hell. I have to admit, when Jack kind of slowly, almost hesitently eases around that door jam, I was about to cringe as I did'nt really know if Alma was gonna have a spasm right then and there about what she'd seen or not.  I started a thread on this very subject sometime back called " Jack's Impression of Alma". Feel free to look it up. ...very interesting posts there.

This has been said before in another thread, but how bout that little prolonged stare Jack gave Alma as they exited the house, as if to say * You may have married my man, but tonight? HE"S ALL MINE!.  cute. LOL!

It is so interesting for me to note that for many of us here, we find Jack so cute in a scene where he is clearly feeling most awkward and uncomfortable.  Perhaps it is the sense of vulnerability that gets us here...  The expression of his face shows both discomfort and sweetnesss...
