Heath about a deleted scene from Candy: "I did one scene they didn't end up using. It was near the end of the movie when I inject again. There was a shot that we had, a tight shot of my arm, and I sleeped the needle in and pulled back until you saw the blood, and then they went off it onto my face. I actually injected. It had coloured water and sugar in it to make it look watery brown. Then we found out that was the difference between an M rating ['Mature' in Australia] and an R, due to the penetration. When it looked like it was going in and it didn't really go in, that was okay."

I find it quite chilling, but fascinating, to see how far he was willing to go with his art.
