God, isnt he just gorgeous.  I sometimes feel so emotional when I see these pics.....like you can sense the repressed life Ennis has had up to this point, just by the look on his face.  And I just want to hug and say "dont worry Ennis, cos you are going to fall in love with the most wonderful person, and he is going to love you right back......"  Oh god, I'm filling up again.... :\'(  :\'(  :\'(  :\'(

Oh Keren, baby, what can I say!  I'm quite happy to have started something that ended with pics like those..... <^(  <^(  <^(

Its hard to choose a favourite, and I cant, so lets just post the ones I love the most.  The last one is so cute, Ennis looking at that watch, probably for something to do, he's so nervous around Jack....and that sorry looking sack he's holding, that has his one change of clothes.... :\'(  :\'(

keren and christie and all:  Oh god yes, every day is an Ennis day for me.  Okay first, I love that quote from review of Heath-as-Ennis at top of page, his "translucent silences."  So Ennis.

Then, all these pics!!  Who just said "I get all emotional just looking at them"?  Me, too, oh...

And Ennis fiddling with the watch -- that's what I always thought, too.  They come out of the trailer and he doesn't really know what to do, and from then on, at least for a while, follows Jack's lead.  But anyway, in that particular pic posted above, Ennis fiddling with watch and Jack putting out his hand, "Jack Twist," just look at how Ennis is so muted and held-inside, and how Jack is this beautiful color-and-light offering himself to Ennis.

frances: I've never seen this pic either, though similar, and with Jack, too.  It's from the set but not while filming, yes?  He's so darling here.  I love those pics on the set -- they look halfway between Heath and Ennis or Jake and Jack, not entirely either.

Anyway...sigh--drawing near the end of this lovely Ennis day...
