Thank you about the Heath Scholarship event, it's going to be an emotional one, but I feel it is vital that we be there to support him and his last performance.

Fantastic!! I'm so proud of you Barb, I want to hear all about it!

And Theresa, I'm so touched to hear that you'll be on the Australians In Film event in Heath's memory. Go there and support his memory for all of us.

I most certainly will, sweet keren, and I promise to report everything as soon as I can get it written after the event.

Keren I also wanted to tell you that I got an invitation from the Jerusalem Film Festival accidently contacted my site instead of the producers wanting Dr. Parnassus for their festival.  I immediately forwarded their request to the correct people!

This is really great,Barb ¡ Thank you ¡ Not only Keren, but me...and also Heath would be very proud of you ¡  :^^)
Ennis’s eyes gone bright with shock, mouth opening then closing again. “Love?” Ennis said finally, voice strangling in his throat.

Jack smiled sad. “Yeah, Ennis. Love.” Leaned forward and kissed Ennis’s temple, whispered, “What’d you think it was, all this time?”

I'm so glad you said that myprivatejack because I am so proud of Barb as well.  This is just such a selfless, loving, kind thing for her to do and I know the amount of faith it takes to step out there like that and I admire this so much and I just don't know how to thank her enough.  She knows from my email, my very personal thanks and pride in her, but I don't think the chance should pass for me to tell her publicly how incredibly proud of her and appreciative that I am, Terry is and I know Heath is.

They did? Did they mention a date? I'm a little confused, because as far as I know the Jerusalem Film Festival is taking place in July, so if they're thinking about screening it in July 2010 the movie should be "old news" by then... I assume we'll get it here long before that. But thanks for letting me know, this is certainly intriguing!

I honestly don't know.  All that kind of thing will take place between them and the producers.  The email just asked for a submission if we were interested.  I doubt they even know to be honest that the movie will likely play Israel before then.

Aww you guys made me cry.  <^( You have it backwards though. I just feel so privileged and fortunate to have the opportunity to be a part of this, and to share it with you and the team in NY. I know exactly how you feel Barb, I feel the exact way about hitting the streets in LA on the 12th as well.  We're actually going to be on the walk of fame on Hollywood and Highland between the Kodak and Graumans and REELZCHANNEL TV is going to cover the event.  It's going to show on cable and Dish channels in 46 states and on the web.  I'm really proud of that because REELZCHANNEL came to us asking could they cover it.  They are the people who did the precious Terry interview in which the little reporter, Jill Simonian, talked about the heath heart tattoos.  She and I became friends on the red carpet at the AFI screening.  She's not going to be covering it but she has been our champion at REELZ and one of their reporters actually has taken vacation from New York because she's such a huge Terry and Heath fan and is going to put on a sandwich board and walk with us.  I'm just so humbled and honored to be part of it all and I too will remember it forever.

This is just beyond fantastic Theresa, it will bring the movie so much exposure. And I won't be surprised if it was Jill Simonian who gave them the idea to do that after meeting and talking to you at the screening, actually I bet it was her who told them about this event and got them to cover it. This is such an incredible thing, and I am so greatful to anyone who's going to attend it both in NY and in LA. It would've been my honor to join you there if I wasn't so far away... but you said the coverage is going to be on the web as well, and I know I'm going to watch it with tears in my eyes.

I have to be honest, very few people have signed up to participate in either city.  The deadline for New York is tomorrow (we have to be able to ship the movie posters to NYC from LA) and the deadline in LA is going to be Monday (again I have to make the signs and such).  There are about six people in each city, but that's ok we'll get out there and do all we can and anyone interested in joining us in either city please just let me know via email or pm.  You're more than welcome.  It's going to be a get together for those of us who want to see Heath's final performance around the USA.  We're going to have a ball.  Just like our groups in London and Rome!

As I mentioned to you all, I'm doing an interview with the director of photography/cinematographer for Dr. P, Nicola Pecorini.  You guys best be prepared for this one to touch your hearts.  He and I have been emailing questions and answers all week preparing for the interview tonight and he sent me his answers to my preliminary questions today.  One of them is quite a detailed question about Heath.  Anyway, I just read the answers and when we got to the subject of Heath, this man was so sweet.  He just loved Heath so much and he shares a few things with the fans that they would never have known about Heath and it brought tears to my eyes.  Sweet tears and a smile at the beauty of it all.  What a lovely lovely man Nicola is.

The more I get to know these people, the more it renews my vow to fight for this film because the more I also realize the deep love it has taken for them to not only get it this far, but to get it to the world to share that last performance.  The labor of love by them to carry this movie forward is just astounding as is their love for Heath.

I think it was actually Nicola who "introduced" between Heath and Terry, wasn't it? If I remember correctly he was the one who recommended Heath to Terry for Brothers Grimm. I remember some things he said about Heath in interviews, like how sometimes when he wanted to get away from all the craziness he used to come over and play with his son for hours... just sit on the floor and play with him.

Yes.

Nicola adored him.  Just wait until you read what he has to say about Heath.  It will touch and warm your heart.  It's simply beautiful and very very sweet.

You made a really good point about the people involved with this film, Theresa. So often, it seems, once a film is finished the whole thing goes to the marketing department, the studio decides what to do in the way of publicity and the cast and crew move on to their next projects, showing up for some press tours or TV interviews as they're able and/or required by their contracts. In this case, it seems more like a labor of love and the care they've all shown to the movie as a whole (which should stand on its own merit) as well as Heath's memory is just beautiful and inspiring. Please give our sincerest thanks to them.  ^f^

As to your interview, I await it with nervous anticipation. Thanks to both you and Nicola for sharing it with the rest of us. :^^)

It's been a beautiful thing to watch.  And, a beautiful and fitting tribute.

I will most definitely pass on your thanks.  They will be most appreciated believe me.

Thanks about Nicola.  He's so very sweet, but I'm very nervous and very tired and struggling to stay awake a little late for this after what, unfortunately turned out to be one of my busiest days in an age.  So I'm drinking an energy drink.

On my way out the door to the Australians In Film Heath Ledger Scholarship screening of Dr. Parnassus here in LA.  Am hoping for a big turnout for both the scholarship and our movie.  We want those events to go very well since we are in the middle of awards season as well!

We're off to hit the streets to bring Dr. Parnassus To The Masses with our fans take it straight to the people tomorrow in Times Square in New York City (Flwrchld will be there), The Hollywood Walk of Fame from the Kodak Theatre to Grauman's Chinese Theatre (I'll be there) and in San Francisco.  It's been pouring rain in Los Angeles and we are expecting tomorrow so keep your fingers crossed that we'll either have a break in the rain for a few hours or very good luck dodging rain drops!

Well we DID march in NYC.  I'm waiting to hear from them.  LA had to be rescheduled due to flash flood and mudslide weather.  But not to worry, we rescheduled and will be marching in LA this coming Saturday Dec. 19.  San Franciso was supposed to be a go too though they too are having heavy rain, they weren't in danger of mudslides so they were going to go ahead.  So, we'll let you guys know as soon as we know how those two marches went!

Hello all! There was a very small but very enthusiastic and determined group out in NY yesterday. It was cold but not too cold and I talked to a lot of interesting people, many of whom were excited about Parnassus coming out.  O0

More later but I wanted you to know we were out there. I haven't been home long and I desperately need a nap!

Thanks as always to everyone here for all you do to support this film. Every now and then I'm reminded of how much effort goes into so much of this campaign, as well as how much of a difference even one voice can make. Keep up the good work!  :ghug:
