First step, you need to save the picture you want to use on your computer.

When the picture is showing on your screen:

1.  Right click on it with your mouse.

2.  Go down to "save picture as"

3.  Left click on "save picture as"

It should open a window with a file to save your picture into, normally this file should be already named "my pictures".  Leave the name of the picture as it is, just click on the save button.

Let me know if it works, then we'll go to the next step. ;)

That's a tought one... you need some picture editing software for that and we're not there yet.

Let me take some pictures of the forum's pages and post them here in order to help you... from there we'll see if it works and you could eventually change the picture to another one.

OK now, you go on your profile, make sure you select the following options, they're circled in red:



Next, you have to browse to the file location and the name of the picture saved in your computer:



Next, you have to click on "change profile" to save your new profile:

I have a problem with my avatar I can´t solve,although I´ve tried and look for any explanation in a thread,but I can´t find anything...  *^) When posted it,the image in movement in the lower part remained fixed:how can,then,give it the movement?.Thanks everybody.

Does your image have a .gif extension?

I believe the problem comes from the fact that you have uploaded your avatar.
It would be better to host it on photobucket and copy and paste the link, rather than upload it from your computer.
By uploading it, it stops the .gif file from working properly, and becomes a .JPEG file.

Try this instead x

The forum now has BBM avatars for you to choose.

1. Go to your profile by clicking "Profile" on the top menu

2. In the left column, go to the section "Modify Profile" and click "Forum Profile Information"

3. Select "Personalize Picture" and choose [BBM]

4. Select the one you like. Scroll to the bottom and click "Change Profile"
