German 'Große Kinomomente' DVD
« on: Sep 03, 2010, 09:24 AM »
[To my recollection someone has posted about this release on the forum but I was too lazy to find it..please let me know and I'll link you here.]

On April 3rd (suprise..) 2009 this DVD was released in Germany in the "Große Kinomomente" (Great Moments of Cinema) series.

Once again, if you want to zoom in, open the picture in a new browser window.

The cover:

The disc & the leaflet cover:

Editorial notes:

Abridged production notes:     [The full English version here by Mr ethan]

Ang Lee:

The other films in the series:     [I like #19 and #20]

In the Ediotorial Notes there's nothing 'new'; some wry German humour. In the beginning Daniel Sander says when a film becomes an icon of cinema history, then it is often enough to have a slogan (word or two) and everybody knows what it is all about.

Some menu shots:

Pieces of utterly useless information... :i

A re-release of the single disc edition was published in Germany on April 1st in some 'Alles Liebe' series:

The cover and the disc are the very same as they were in 2006. The 'Alles Liebe' text is just a sticker on the wrap. The Amaray case is somewhat "unique"..strikingly yellow (gelb, jawohl):

Just a notion: the BBM DVDs sold by the US [river in Brazil] actually come from market place sellers (third party) at the moment; this could mean that the current prints are running out and maybe some really new releases are being planned...[deleted scenes... (:*].

Thanks for very detailed information again, rdx    :)

It's the first time I've heard of this "Alles Liebe"-series ...
to me that sticker on the BBM-DVD seems a kind of curious (German) idea  ;D,   or an April Fools' joke, maybe  ;)    For some people it could add a lightly ironic touch whereas I will not assume that to the creators who surely had honourable intentions with including BBM to that series
 Well, just my thoughts ...

You can get addicted to a certain kind of sadness. (Gotye)
