I guess it is normal here for a DVD to be first relaeased as a rental DVD and a few weeks later as a buy DVD.
This way they can get more money out of it i guess...

On the other hand, most of times the Rental DVD is just the movie with a menu system, no extra's..

I will let you all know what is included on the DVD, and what kind of cover it has...

They say it's a 'bouble DVD', that usualy means one DVD with the moive, and the other DVD with all the Extra's like trailers, storyboards, making of etc..

I bought the BBM on DVD in April as an import from England, an Amazon pre-order. (also have the book story to screenplay and the CD) I was very disapointed to find that the theatre trailer was not included. I was even more pissed off to read here that it was included on the Nederlands release.

The trailer is my daily BBM top up. I only have a fuzzy internet version.

Could someone please send me a high resolution copy of the trailer? Otherwise I will have to buy it a second time just for the trailer!

Thanks, Saul

Try this one, its the trailer you will find on the Dutch DVD. It is a WMV file but the resolution is 640x480 with 1152 kbps, if you watch it fullscreen it is pretty much the same quality as the DVD one (not supergood, but good enough)

Or the Quicktime trailer

Thanks KillRoy,

This is a step up in quality from the fuzzy ropey ones I had before!

The scene selection menu on (one of) the Dutch DVD(s) is as follows:

It's quite 'simple' but the still images are a bit 'uncommon' in a good way.
"I'm spurrin' his guts out! Wavin' to the girls in the stands! He's kickin' me to high heaven, but he don't jackboard me! No!" Jack

Here are some pics from the Dutch 2-disc edition. The used images are slightly uncommon and it's only Ennis and Jack, no others.

The covers [notice the superimposed Ennis and Jack by the river]:

There's also a Dutch steel box Blu-ray:

You're welcome!

Yes, me too. And for us, it's only about Ennis and Jack, huh?  ;)
