In the reunion scene Jack "redlined it" in a red and white truck wearing a red shirt. I am reminded of that red dress that Rhett Butler threw at Scarlett in that classic movie Gone With The Wind, and demanded she wear it when he thought she was seeing her precious Ashly Wilkes. Then ,it was a symbol of a "Jezabel".Red is the color known for most part to symbolize a need to accentuate, standout, a color meant to draw attention, to be seen and recognized in . It also asscociated with matters of the heart ( Valentines's day etc),Not saying that Jack was a jezabel but he sure got Ennis 's attention, loud and clear.I'd just like to add that not many could have gotten away with wearng that (black and green plaid?!) coat Jack wore either, but he did.
