Is BBM already released in Germany? GO BBM.

I have seen a few German friends coming. :D

Brokeback Mountain reached germany this week and it got me directly into my heart. The German press praises BBM in the biggest tones and calls it a masterpiece. We waited long but it was worth it and now I just can not stop talk or think about it. Yesterday night I dreamed I would have gone for a walk on the Brokeback Mountain.

Am I crazy? Please, say that I am not the only one?

Hello Fred, thanks for your reply. Finally it has reached Germany. Oh no..you are not the only one and definitely not crazy. I have seen BBM since December 9 and my passion for the movie is still growing strong. So glad that you finally had a chance to see. Let us know how BBM goes in Germany.

"you bet" - I will let you all know how BBM goes in Germany.

Yesterday (Saturday) for example our cinema was sold out - and it's a huge one. My friend and I were lucky because two other people had tickets left and so they sold us the tickets.

Can't wait until the German Box office comes out - as soon it comes out I will post it

WOW I had no idea that some country are still waiting for BBM release!
maybe we could list which country still hasn't had the opportunity in seeing BBM!

finally this thursday it will be in my movie theatre!!! and i'll go see it on sunday and again next tuesday! i'm sooo excited!!!
and guess what - on the homepage of my movie theatre it says that BBM is the "movie of the week"! gosh, i hope i'll still get tickets for sunday!

Great news from Germany:
On the first weekend BBM is No. 3 at the Box office!!!

No 1 is a german movie for kids, No. 2 Pink Panther.

But BBM has only started with 152 copies and got more than 200.000 visitors.

The distributor called the interest in that film " sensational" and it will come out with another 120 copies.

hi there!
i'm also from germany and as fred says, our press and all people i talked to really like, most of them love this movie. i'm very glad about that! i've seen it for three times now and each time the cinema was absolutely full! really sold out! unbelievable. i have never had that in another film.
just because i'm new here, i know it's perhaps not the right thread for it, but i have to say it: BBM is the best movie i have seen in my whole life!!!
it is quiet hard to think about something else, if you have seen it!! just fantastic!
tomorrow i will see it again

brokeback is getting marvelous responses in Germany. I met quite a few German brokeaholics ( on the Net of course ) over the past few weeks and I'm amazed at how well the movie's beeing accepted there. A friend from Germany sent me a bunch of articles from german Tv magazines ( I speak german btw

) and all the reviews were just splended.
it's true, it's taken the movie a while to reach Germany ( I mean c'mon, we Croatians got to see the movie a month before Germans did! and we're waaaaaaaay behind the times

) but now it finally has and the box office results are more than great :D

Well, I am still waiting! I'm from Austria and I can't understand why BBM is released in Germany and NOT in Austria! Well, I have to wait two and a half week from now and then I'll get it to! YOU BET!!!

Germany also has to wait another two weeks til DVD realease

But I think frenchcda talked about the cinema-relaese, which was earlier in Austria than in Germany, or at leat at the same time.
