The Portuguese cover, nothing special here, the back cover picture of Ennis and Jack is somewhat less common:


Just like the French (Le Secret de Brokeback Mountain), the Portuguese (O segredo de Brokeback Mountain) can keep only one secret, but the Italians can keep many secrets (I segreti di Brokeback Mountain)... ;)  #s}  #) [Thanks Mars  O0] The Finns don't keep any secret(s)...  ::)

There's also a Taiwanese 1-disc edition with a 'normal' DVD case&cover:

The other edition, the denim package is excellently described here by monsieur pierralex...precisely 5 year ago... (:*

The denim package is still being sold on the Taiwanese eBay, though behind a language barrier & not-shipping internationally(?)... :s)

The Taiwanese Blu-ray cover:



The artwork is somewhat different, the composition is 'wider': there's more Jack; his shirt button can be seen and there's some space between the boys.

Another Greek edition:


I'd say too bad that they don't use their own language all the way through. The menus on the disc are only in English though the release is meant for Greek market only.

I spotted this at the marketplace of the UK Amazon:

A Thai DVD, it could be a pirate; the back-cover seems 'genuine', the cover is nice albeit unusual.

Really impressed that you're still looking for new versions these!
I vote for a "pirate" - the way Anne's name is kind of graphically bungled "Hatha way" is the giveaway to me. Doesn't seem like a professional would make that slip.

The translucent look of Ennis & Jack with clouds bleeding through is curious, but to me not particularly attractive.

Well, there are all kinds of madnesses, you know... O0 There are many versions in Latin America...but either those etailers don't ship abroad or the shipping costs huge amounts of money. The DVDs/BDs themselves are affordable, some $10.

Indeed, that Thai DVD is a pirate, but it's only £7, so... #s}

The Thai DVD actually exists:

Though the cover is almost the same one as on the North American collector's edition.

The back-cover is nicely different:


Thai sound and Thai subtitles:


A small observation: as it is to be expected in Thailand, the film is not censored.

There's no indication what year this DVD was released. Though the etailer mentioned on the back-cover says June 2008.
