We need to contact Focus Features about the DVD!
Riobbm23:
I'm excited and can't wait for the BBM DVD release but at the same time a little bit disappointed with Focus Features, I don't understand why they're releasing one of the greatest movies ever and specially their own movie in a cheap edition. I know the film is worth it more than anything including special features that they might add, but even these non-sense movies outthere have better things in it, we have to let them know our comments and opinions... Can anyone here help me please and find the correct link and post it as well (I don't have enough time online to do it myself). Also, I just moved out from my old home and I haven't been able to watch TV lately, have you guys seeing any ads on TV about the BBM DVD release?! Please let me know... thanks! ;) :D

Hi Riobbm, yes I have been seeing adds on TV for a few days now, but they are very short...maybe 15-20 seconds. A few clips are flashed and they announce the Apr 4th release date. Very disappointed ad :(. I live in Louisiana and it was advertised on local stations. Donna

Riobbm23, I think the quick release of BBM, so soon after the hectic awards season, did not give them sufficient time to make a truly beautiful edition with tons of special features.
If history has something to say about this, we ae not looking at the last edition of BBM on dvd that will come out. I suspect we shall see more if the demand is high.
I think of Gyllenhaal's 'Donnie Darko' as a good example. It was released in a so-so original theatre release edition in 2001-2002. In 2004, when the cult of DD was well established, they issued the 'Directors Cut'. Finally, on the tails of the BBM release, they are issuing a 3-disc DD release this April or May.
I expect about the same thing for BBM. Take heart, and be patient. :)
