I often hear the term preceded by "poor" poor white trash or even "trailer trash"These terms are divisive and have no place in progressive society. It's just about impoosible to change human behavior but to resort to these negative lables Is to deny that people are a products of their enviroment It becomes a vicious cycle if people are made to beleive that somehow their lives are'nt worth as much. People tend to respond to the way they are treated so it's best to be positive and kind., they will respond to the negativity otherwise with unacceptable behavor .Wether it is describing the behavior or social or financial status , calling human beings "trash" of any kind is wrong. I have a problem with it. No one is perfect and no matter how ya slice it it's nothing more than "looking down" on other people who happen to be less fortunate (not just financial either) in life. NO, Jack,Ennis,nor Alma are "white trash".All three were from humble , some even abusive, situations but they grew to be kind ,hardworking respectable people. This is IMHO.
