There are no clear cut answers.Only opinions. But i hope that all our views and observations have helped Christie in some small way?

Hi Jennis, thanks for saying this, because I felt the discussion was getting a little too intense and o/t. I can hardly complain though, as I am the world's worst for taking part in a discussion on a particular thread and going off on a tangent, and it is really easy to do when discussing such an intricate and multi-layed story such as BBM. This just goes to show how much there is in just one scene, and how we can all see different things in it. And that is the whole point of a discussion forum - to exchange opinions, views and observations and to hopefully gain new insight. After reading everyone's views on this thread, I still come to the conclusion that Ennis was unintentionally acknowledging what he and Jack meant to each other, and the significance of Brokeback Mountain to both of them. I don't think he knew or cared how his words would affect Lureen, as he was too caught up in his own devastation and heartbreak to notice.
