Woooeee...look at this crowd!
There was some open space between what he knew and what he tried to believe, but nothing could be done about it, and if you can't fix it you've got to stand it.

Ennis, riding against the wind back to the sheep in the treacherous, drunken darken light, thought he'd never had such a good time, felt he could paw the white out of the moon.

Biker #2 All swelled up with patriotic feeling and ready to be humped like a frog.

Hell, how would I know....but if you make it between Wyoming and Montana, I'd pick Wyoming in a minute.

Biker:  "F*ck you..."   Turning to his buddy, he mutters, "As*hole,"  as his buddy chuckles.
'You know, it could be like this, just like this...always."

"Well, what's the point of ridin' a piece a stock fer eight seconds?"   *Grin*

"Our husbands ain't  the least bit interested in dancin'.  They ain't got a smidgeon a rhythm between 'em!"

(Ennis) "Well, speak fer yerself.  You may be a sinner, but I ain't yet had the opportunity."   (Jack) "Hmmm," handing Ennis the whiskey bottle.  *he chuckles* "

Ennis hands the baby to Alma, gets up, goes toward the lowlifes and growls, "Now, I don't want any trouble from you, you need to shut your slopbucket mouth, ya' hear me?"

Ennis snarls,  "That right?"  Biker mutters something, Ennis grabs him, shoves him aside roughly.  He gives a roundhouse kick at the other one, who goes a-flyin'.

"Whut about it?  You wanta lose half your fu**in' teeth, huh?"  he growls at the first dirtbag.

"Not tonight Bud, I'd sure rather not," the chickenshit  pleads, as he crawls away from Ennis, turning to check on his comatose buddy.

Fireworks explode, the girls are squallin', Alma is in shock, and Ennis just stands there, silouhetted against the brightly lit-up sky, wishin' he woulda killed at least one of the m*f*ckers.

(Hope nobody minds I took some license here, just to get thru a difficult scene.)

Not at all Chico. :)

Scene change to Texas rodeo:

Here she comes ladies and gentlemen, look at her fly, Miss Lureen Newsome from right here in Childress, Texas. Oh boy, and her time is...sixteen and nine tenths seconds. Let's give her a big hand!
For a moment in our lives. Forever in our hearts.

Jack grabs Lureen's red cowgirl hat that flew off her head as she exited the field.  As she rides back to Jack to retrieve it, he holds it out to her and simply says, "Ma'am?"

Lureen clicks her tongue at him and rides off, shooting him a toothy grin over her shoulder.

(Bartender) I surely do - Lureen Newsome. Her daddy owns a farm machine business - $100,000 tractors, that kind of thing
He will be eternally missed, but he will never be forgotten

Christopher Nolan, accepting the Best Supporting Actor Golden Globe on Heath's behalf.

He was, as an actor and a professional and a human being, one of a kind

Charles Roven, accepting Heath's BAFTA.

This award tonight would have humbly validated Heath's quiet determination to be truly accepted by you all here — his peers within an industry he so loved.

Kim Ledger, accepting Heath's Oscar.

New Scene:  Enniss' truck pulls to the curb in front of the super market.   He wrestles two squirming kids into the store.

"Hey, Monroe,"

"Hey, Ennis"

"Is Alma here?"

"Uh, yeah, she's in the condiments aisle"

"Th' wha'?"

"Ketchup."

"Thanks."
