Ennis smiles at Jack, then looks at Alma:
Ennis could feel the vibration of the floor from Jack's shaking,
is eager to leave:
"Jack ‘n me is goin’ out an get a drink.
Might not get back tonight,
we get to drinkin' and talkin’ an all."

Jack and Ennis go out while Alma is stunned. We see a nocturne view of a motel and after that our two heroes in bed, strongly embraced.Concretely a foreground of Jack that approaches his face to Ennis hair and says:Four years, damn¡

Ennis’s eyes gone bright with shock, mouth opening then closing again. “Love?” Ennis said finally, voice strangling in his throat.
Jack smiled sad. “Yeah, Ennis. Love.” Leaned forward and kissed Ennis’s temple, whispered, “What’d you think it was, all this time?”

Jack: 'Naaaa....well, that next summer I drove back up to Brokeback, talked to Aguirre 'bout a job, an' he told me you hadn't been back, so I left. Went down to Texas for rodeoin'...'s how I met Lureen. Made two thousand dollars bull-ridin' that year, nearly starved. Lureen's ol' man...makes serious money. Farm machine business....'course he hates my guts.

Jack:
No, too busted up. That rodeoing ain't what it was in my daddy's day.
(Ennis interjects: Nope.)
Got out while I could still walk. (Ennis: Hmmm)
Swear to God I didn't know we's gonna' get into this again (pause) . . . .
Ah yes I did, I redlined it all the way, couldn't get here fast enough (chuckles).

Ennis struggles with his answer, "Me?, ahh, I dunno...."
Jack whispers in his ear in a hot, soft and sexy voice.
"Ol' Brokeback got us good, don't it?"

Del Mar apartment: Riverton, Wyoming
Alma sits at kitchen table drinking coffee. Looks tense, eyes red-rimmed as if she has been crying.
Ennis comes in the door, hurriedly begins packing up clothes etc.
Ennis:
"Me and Jack's heading up to the mountains for a day or two. Do a little fishin'."
Logged
Jack: " Nice to know you, Ennis Del Mar."

Alma looks out the window and sees Mr. Sexy-in-a-devil's-red-shirt leaning against his truck in an exquisitely alluring come-jump-my-bones pose.
Alma: 'You know, your friend could come in and have a cup of coffee."

Ennis: "Y' know, that foreman, he owes me. I...I worked thru a blizzard last Christmas, y' remember that?" Ennis said as he picked up his fishing pole, sounding like he didn't even believe himself. He was breathing hard from excitment.
"Besides, I'll only be a coupla days," rushing out of the bedroom, clearing his throat as he escaped Alma, a look of abject misery on her face.

New scene: Jack's red and white truck rolls down the highway toward the mountains. We see it pull up to a lake and our two boys depart the truck.
"Last one in...!" one of them shouts, as they strip down to starkers.
We are then treated to an amazing sight
as both boys run and jump off the cliff into the lake, whoopin' and hollerin' as they surface in the cold water....

(Jack chuckles, and Ennis finishes, "I'm enjoyin' the peace 'n' quiet.")
Jack says, gently, running his fingernail around the label of his beer bottle, a small, wistful smile on his face:
"You know, it could be like this, just like this, always."
