Jack (quietly): You seen that?
He will be eternally missed, but he will never be forgotten

Christopher Nolan, accepting the Best Supporting Actor Golden Globe on Heath's behalf.

He was, as an actor and a professional and a human being, one of a kind

Charles Roven, accepting Heath's BAFTA.

This award tonight would have humbly validated Heath's quiet determination to be truly accepted by you all here — his peers within an industry he so loved.

Kim Ledger, accepting Heath's Oscar.

Ennis, shoulders hunched, head down:  I was, what? Nine years old?  My daddy, he made sure me and my older brother K.E., seen it.  Hell, for all I know, he done the job hisself...

Two GUYS living together?  NO WAY.  We can get together, once in a while, way the hell out in the middle of nowhere, but...

Alma Jr. and Jenny both stop swinging and look up at Ennis.

Both:  No.

Both girls start swinging again.

Ennis nods his head and continues to walk back up the stairs to the apartment.

Meanwhile inside the office,  two  farmers looking out the window at Jack's  demonstration of the  farm equipment.

Farmer#1: Didn't that piss-ant use to ride the bulls?
Farmer#2: He used to try . . . .

Lureen glance  at them, angrily.

Lureen:New model coming in this week, remember? You're the best combine salesman we got. You're the only combine salesman,in fact.
(Meanwhile,Jack is looking for his parka and seems not to pay attention to his wife's chatter).
Ennis’s eyes gone bright with shock, mouth opening then closing again. “Love?” Ennis said finally, voice strangling in his throat.

Jack smiled sad. “Yeah, Ennis. Love.” Leaned forward and kissed Ennis’s temple, whispered, “What’d you think it was, all this time?”

Jack:  Well, I'll only be gone a week. That is unless I freeze to death, and I might freeze if I don't find that parka.

Jack:I complain too much. The teacher don't like me.

Ennis is looking in a low cabinet, finds his thermos and puts in in his bag.

Ennis looks around and quckly grabs his tackle box off the kitchen table without a word to Alma and rushes out the door.  Alma, sitting at the kitchen table holding her coffee cup, stares off into space.
