Ole Brokeback got us good, didn't it? (goody, I love that line)

Eat your supper, breakfast in camp, but you sleep with the sheep, hundred percent, no fire, don't leave no sign. You roll up that tent every morning in case Forest service snoops around.

JOE AGUIRRE: Last summer I had goddamn near 25% loss. I don't want that again. You...(points at Ennis--takes him in)... Fridays at noon be down at the bridge with your grocery list and mules. Sombody with supplies will be there at the pickup.

Joe grabs a cheap watch. Tosses it to ENNIS as if he's not worth the reach.

JOE AGUIRRE: Tomorrow mornin' we'll truck you up to the jump-off.

Ennis.
The most difficult scene was the paragraph where, on the mountain, Ennis holds Jack and rocks back and forth, humming, the moment mixed with childhood loss and his refusal to admit he was holding a man.

- Annie Proulx -

From the vibration of the floorboard on which they both stood, Ennis could feel how hard Jack was shaking.

Your folks stop at Ennis?
He will be eternally missed, but he will never be forgotten

Christopher Nolan, accepting the Best Supporting Actor Golden Globe on Heath's behalf.

He was, as an actor and a professional and a human being, one of a kind

Charles Roven, accepting Heath's BAFTA.

This award tonight would have humbly validated Heath's quiet determination to be truly accepted by you all here — his peers within an industry he so loved.

Kim Ledger, accepting Heath's Oscar.

New Scene: Ennis and Jack are drinking in a bar in Signal

Jack: My second year up here. Last year, a lightnin storm killed 43 sheep. Thought I was gonna asphyxiate from the smell. Aguirre got all over my ass like I was supposed to control the weather. Still, beats workin' for my old man...can't please my old man, no way

Ennis: Well...they run themselves off. There was, uh, one curve in the road in forty three miles and they miss it. So the bank took the ranch and my brother and sister, they raised me mostly.
