Jack:
That ain't the point. The point is we both ought to be in this camp.
Ennis’s eyes gone bright with shock, mouth opening then closing again. “Love?” Ennis said finally, voice strangling in his throat.

Jack smiled sad. “Yeah, Ennis. Love.” Leaned forward and kissed Ennis’s temple, whispered, “What’d you think it was, all this time?”

Jack: Well, I'm happy to switch. But I gotta warn ya. I can't cook worth a damn.

Looks at Ennis with a grin on his face...
Am pretty good with a can opener though.

Ennis shakes the meat in the frypan,
pushes it in the direction of Jack,
utters one of his famous guttural ejaculations:

ENNIS: Here-ya'go.

New scene: Ennis is packing up his horse with the pup tent and gun, preparing to head up to the sheep. Jack approaches.

JACK: Won't get much sleep, I'll tell you that.

Jack sees him going for a while and comes back to the camp.
NEXT SCENE:

Ennis is finishing to shave while Jack is opening a beans can.Ennis tells him:

-Shot a coyote up there. It was a big son of a bitch. He had balls on him the size of apples. He looked like he could eat himself a camel. You want some of this hot water?.

Next Scene. Electrifying, no dialog, but great scenery . . .

Jack calmly smokes and peels potatoes for supper while Ennis strips down to bathe nearby.

Jack,  shows Ennis his rodeo belt buckle.
Ennis is eating a can of beans.

Ennis:Hmm. . .Don’t rodeo much myself.
I mean what’s the point of ridin’ some piece a’ stock for eight seconds?

My old man, he was a bull rider. Pretty well known in his days, Though he kept all the secrets to himself. Never taught me a thing, never once come to see me ride.

ENNIS'S tongue loosens suddenly:

ENNIS (CONT'd)

Got me a year a high school before the transmission went on the pickup.
My sis left, married a roughneck, moved to Casper.
Me and my brother got work on a ranch up near Worland until I was nineteen.
He got married last month.
No more room for me. That's how come me ended up here.
Heath, you are loved, like this, always.

Jack jumps up from the log he was sitting on and leaps onto an imaginary bull

JACK: Yee-haw. I'm spurrin' his guts out, wavin' to the girls in the stands. He's kickin' me to high heaven but he can't dashboard me...no way!

Jack crashes into some of their gear and falls on his ass, chuckling.

Several beautiful mountain scenes with no dialog.

Ennis & Jack move the sheep to another pasture on higher ground, set up a new base camp.

Jack’s stretched out against a log playing his harmonica, Ennis is busy setting up the tent, stands back to look at his work .

ENNIS:

Tent don’t look right.
