Okay, so I'm mad.
I went to the video store to rent a DVD.. and I saw Brokeback Mountain DVDs, about twenty of them, and half were gone.
Crash had 2 copies and was a 5 day rental.. haha
So why am I mad?
The video store, "Great Canadian Video Network", recently put a sticker on each individual BBM DVD cover avaliable to rent which said,
"EXPLICIT SEXUAL MATERIAL. ADULTS ONLY!"
.... WHAT? explict sexual material?

They are making it sound like some gay porn flick!!
Why though? There is ONE scene, the first night in tent that depicts gay sex.. there is not nudity in that part, it is like a majority of sex scenes in every movie these days, plus the remaining hetersexual sex scenes are done in a way that isnt "new" or "explicit" in the terms of hollywood.
They said people complained, after seeing that tent scene.. "OMG, I didnt think the movie was like
this! I want my money back"
So now they are putting these stupid stickers on the Best Movie of the year.
Every other DVD in the entire store which contains similar sex scenes (soley between men and women) there is no warning.
In Canada, the DVD for BBM is rated 14a. Which means, 14 years of age and older can watch it alone, and if you are under 14 you require an adult with you. So a 14+ year old can go rent BBM if they wanted, just like many movies.. liek American Pie and all these stupid teen movies that depict sex even more so than BBM and in a stupid childishway.. these movies never had these "Explict Sexual Material" warnings..
So now the BBM DVD at this store, can ONLY be rented by an adult, despite the rating it was officially given of 14a, so they are going against that.. making it seem like its some sort of 2 hour gay porno!!! OMG I WANTED TO HURT THEM ALL!!
God that made me so mad, NO OTHER MOVIE had that, and I KNOW its because some stupid "Gay Is Evil" people are so scared to death of two people loving each other!
UgH! I had to vent.. I declare war!!!!!
