from this link:  a list  (aside from alma jr. as a toddler having big blue eyes - grew up to be alma jr. with big brown eyes!  whoops......i noticed that after about 21st time for first time, so don't feel bad ethan,  http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0388795/goofs    oh and where did jack and ennis spend the nite after they were told by aguirre that he will see them tomorrow and truck them to the jump off...where did they sleep - ennis couldn't afford a hotel, i do not think?  jack had a 2 seater truck.  so???
Goofs for
Brokeback Mountain (2005)

Crew or equipment visible: When Ennis and his wife are fighting at one point they are passing their daughter back and forth. During this back and forth, her pajama top hikes up a bit and you can see her microphone cord.

Continuity: Jack is chopping wood when Aguirre approaches to give news of his sick uncle. Jack places the next log on the chopping block as he turns to speak to Aguirre. After the conversation is over and Jack turns back to chopping, the log is gone and he replaces the log that was never chopped.

Continuity: The evening Jack and Ennis first both spend the night at camp they are drinking from a bottle of whiskey. That bottle, which is only half full to start, refills itself through out the evening. At the end of the evening both guys are very intoxicated but the bottle is fuller then it was earlier.

Continuity: Ennis helps Jack to start his truck, then improperly closes the hood (you can see it isn't properly latched. Shortly afterward, Jack gets in his truck to drive away and the hood is fully closed.

Continuity: When Jack parks his truck before going to meet Joe Aguirre for the first time he parks it head-in (facing the building.) When he and Ennis come down at the end of the season and start the truck it is facing the other way.

Continuity: When Jack is driving away after the pair's first summer on the mountain, the shape and size of the abrasion on his left cheekbone change in each shot.

Anachronisms: When Cassie dances with Ennis the first time, the jukebox is playing Steve Earle's "The Devil's Right Hand". In the movie it is supposed to be the late 70s, but that song wasn't released until his album Copperhead Road came out in 1988.

Continuity: When Cassie is confronting Ennis at the diner about his disappearance, he is eating the last remains of a piece of pie. When she gets up from the table to leave, we see the plate again and the piece of pie is now intact.

Factual errors: Early in the film (1963 Wyoming) a train is seen crossing the screen without a caboose. Cabooses were required by law on all trains into the 1980s.

maybe this is why they didn't get best make up or best editing award nomination!!!!   ;D

I don't know if someone has already post that here. In case... I'm sorry.

Tell me what do you think.

Jack puts the log on the trunk.

Oh.. OOps...Where its gone??  lol We never saw Jack broke the log or put it on the ground.

For the othe I think everybody already saw it.

When Alma Jr, made fallen glass jars in shop, a maid parts it finds on the ground, while during the following sequence, the shelf had just 2 or 3 jars missing.

I'm sorry, It's hard to explain
something like that in English.. lol I hope you'll understand, what I'm trying to explain..

Continuity: The last time Jack and Ennis meet, Jack has a mustache which disappears and reappears between shots.
(I think this one is an error - isn't this the scene where he flashbacks to the 1st time they were up on the mountain?)

In the screenplay, the scene where Jack is getting beaten is from Ennis' point of view. At the  time of the phone call to Lureen, Jack wazs 39 and had a moustache but Ennis envisions the scene with a young un-moustached Jack, the way he probably pictured him in his mind.

I still can't believe Jack was killed although I know there's a good case for it.

Think I discovered another goof brothers, sisters and friends.

In the opening scenes with Jack and Ennis waiting outside the hiring hall, in one scene (Jack shown from crotch to top of head) Jack's sleeves are rolled down and cuffs are snapped closed.  In another shot (full length leaning against truck) the cuff of the sleeves are rolled up snaps open.

Tell you what...truth is, sometimes I miss you so much I can hardly stand it...

But I saw new post from chameau.

Honestly they did something bigger than what they were expecting, I guess.

I'm so happy for them, if they ever take Ang Lee again on a future project, they won't have any problem to raise money.

OH yeah, this is one thread I'd better try to avoid too :p

I saw 3 goofs in my 3rd viewing, not counting the visible face of Jake's stunt when rodeoing (at my 2nd viewing). Then, I decided to let go and enjoy the show, otherwise it gets very distracting...  :P

Here's another one I think I saw:

When Ennis and Jack have their confrontation on their last camping trip, there is a fly on the right side of Ennis' face when we see the close up of his face that is shot from behind Jack, but when we see Jack's face as shown from behind Ennis' right side in the next shot, the fly is gone. From the angle of the camera shot from behind Ennis, I think the fly would be visible in both those shots.
But when its back to seeing Ennis' face, its there again and then gone again when we see Jack's face.

Hello brothers, sisters and friends,

I have no idea why I didn't notice this before.  It is a huge goof.

One night Ennis sleeps with the sheep in a pup tent.  During the night they get a foot of snow.  But guess what; there isn't a single flake on the tent!

Sorry, if this has been mentioned before, but doesn't Jake's liquor bottle disappear in the middle of his rodeo dance for Ennis?? I mean, I don't care, but you know.

Anyone else notice that when Joe Aguirre arrives at the camp to tell Jack his uncle is ill, Jack places a log on the chopping block, but after the close ups, when it cuts back to a wide shot, the log is missing?

Ah Ha!  So you noticed it also.  And it suddenly reappears when he falls down.  The only problem is I didn't see a camera change after it switched to Ennis's view of Jack jumping around.  The bottle was in his left hand when he started jumping around, camera angle change, now his hat is in his left hand.  But, because of no further camera changes i just dismissed it as my not being able to see it because of the hat. I tell you though, if it is still in his hand he must have spilled everthing that was in the bottle the way he was waiving his arms.

well I remember the bottle vanishes at some point then  resurface once he's down, but what the heck, these are some minutes details, as far as Alma Jr.'s eyes being blue when she is a child...  there is truly the possibility that they can change as you grow older, I know I had brown eyes as a child and now they are green, one of my Brother had blue eyes and now they are , one blue and one brown.  Just enjoy the movie and cry your heart out!  I sure do

someone HAS to tell me--why didn't someone airbrush the white goopy stuff that is on ennis' undereye in his last scene with cassie?  that should have never happened.  that is all my eyes can focus on unless I try really hard not to look during that scene (the apple pie scene).

Actually the peeling skin around his eye is pretty realistic for some men who have been out in the weather most of their lives---my first boss had it, and it also peeled around his ears like that too esp. late summer.

I also think that about the whiskey bottle refilling itself----I am thinking they probably cracked more than one bottle open, or brought a couple of opened and a couple sealed, so it may not actually be the same bottle, just the same brand.

Chrissy

That is a blood filled mosquito on Ennis neck, and either his head movements displaced it, or it got filled up and flew away to lay eggs---the other one you see is a different bug---there are several of them flying around the guy's heads you can see them in and around their heads/faces throughout the scene.

The only goof that really got me was the fact that Jack is riding a buckskin gelding----and all through the timeframe on the mountain---both of them keep calling him a mare and or filly.
Sorry guys---that she is really a HE!   So when he first is on it and starts crowhopping some, and he comes up with the "I doubt there's filly that can throw me."   I am cracking up right away.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0388795/goofs Brokeback Mountain (2005) [/b]

Continuity: When Jack parks his truck before going to meet Joe Aguirre for the first time he parks it head-in (facing the building.) When he and Ennis come down at the end of the season and start the truck it is facing the other way.

At the end of the season the truck was parked in a completely dfferent spot than it was when Jack first pulled into the lot. Not only was it facing forward, but it was parked next to a wall. And he was facing the road.

My guess is that the wall was a buidling to the left of Aguirre's trailer when you're facing it. When Jack pulled out, he turned right which would have sent him in the direction that he came from. I assumed the truck was parked in a different place to get it out of the way because they were going to be gone for the summer and Jack had parked the just outside the trailer.

Just because we didn't see them use or move the truck after they left Aguirre's and went to the bar doesn't mean that it stayed in the same place the whole summer.

Next time you go to see the movie, watch when Jack and Ennis are in the bar.  Jack puts an empty bottle to his lips, supposedly drinks from the bottle and then takes the bottle away from his lips and you hear a swishing sound like the beer falling back to the bottom of the bottle.   Only the bottle is empty.  Was when he picked it up.

No, it is not Jack swishing. :-)

When they've spent the summer up there and Jack is going to start his car, he get help from Ennis...I think it is by using start cables... then the motor STARTS... and THEN they say byebye but at that point, the motor is NOT on (as it was in the previous clip).

A friend of me told med about this scene after seeing the movie. Can anyone confirm this "mistake" in the film?

Before their reunion (literally) Jack is not sure where Ennis is so he sends him a postcard via General Delivery.

Ennis sends Jack a post card saying "You bet.

Jack then drives up to Ennis' apartment above the laundromat.

How did Jack know where Ennis lived?  Ennis' post card only had a return address of

Ennis del Mar
Riverton, Wyoming

So how did Jack know he lived above the laundromat?
