There was something deeply mocking and ironic in the music of that scene, especially when taken with the scene in the alley itself...

I feel the same way.  And the darkness was forgiving.  It would have been most unpleasant and squalid for many of us to see what was happening in a strong light.

I'd like to ask again -was there a scene where two of them dance but it was cut? Or is it only someone's wish? :s)

The dancing scene wasn't in the movie... I just thought it would have been beautiful to see. <^(

Check out this website, http://www.findingbrokeback.com/, specifically the Deleted Scenes section.
It shows not only photos from the deleted scenes, but also excerpts from the script.  For example, the "Sneering Mechanics" scene showed up briefly in the trailer.  There is anothe scene of JAck and Ennis in the truck being driven to the sheep staging area the morning after the bar scene.
