It might not be a one off. He does say he wants to do more theatre. But maybe this is not the right time in his career. We might have to wait a few years, but if he ever did come back, you bet we wouldn't miss that opportunity to see him this time around.. <^( <^(

What is this appearance?  What is that crazy poster?

Thomas knows I love this one -- Jake's elegance is starting to become unraveled.  Oh boy.  Have some fun tonight.

I think I've just died and gone to heaven with this one.. (t) (t) (t) (t)

I must have because I'm seeing an Angel.. #)  <^( <^( <^(

He looks tired, maybe too much sun, his skin tone isn't perfect...and yes, he's an angel and I'm in heaven anyway!

Sigh...  This is my true love, where it all started, Heath and Jake giving their beautiful selves to Ennis and Jack and to us.

Who can claim that the Jarhead look is not beautiful?

But this isn't really the Jarhead look -- it's grown out from Jarhead.  I happen to adore this short growth, especially with some nice facial fuzz.

(This is the series I've referred to with teen Jake appealing to me, as opposed to otherwise I always like him older.  But in this shoot...he sure seems to have been coming into what he has now developed into a fine art -- a most beautiful seductiveness but without being crass.)

kathy

I completely understand and agree with you, kathy.  "A most beautiful seductiveness without being crass" - I like that.   :)

I've seen this so many times over this past while...but I only just now noticed Jake's hand in his belt -- so Jake!

I enjoy the body language here.  They could have (oh I wish they had) done something like arms around each other, or standing close in a bit more of a "gay" way...but they didn't.  But I like this pose anyway -- leaves it up to us to determine who they are to each other.  I mean, I don't mean that -- they're not their characters...I mean, I don't  know what I mean.  I'm all flummoxed by Jake's hand nearly in his pants, as he seems to enjoy doing.  And almost leaning against Heath.

kathy

There is indeed a wonderful body language in that pic, kathy...

This one in particular makes me fall down...

kathy

It is a most elegant and beautiful picture: from the face, to the clothes, to the vantage point...

Sometimes I notice in these Maggie/Jake pics how she's usually reflecting the style of the time and Jake kind of stays classically beautiful. Not to say Maggie isn't, I love her style, I just love how Jake always seems fresh and new yet classic and ageless.

Jake certainly seems to age, but his elegance and style are indeed ageless.

Do you think this was intentional on the part of the photographer?

We don't even know if he still smokes -- maybe he's quit.  Pix we've seen with a cigarette are all older, yes?

kathy

Something leads me to suspect that he still does, but probably not often.  Just a social thing, perhaps?
