The most difficult scene was the paragraph where, on the mountain, Ennis holds Jack and rocks back and forth, humming, the moment mixed with childhood loss and his refusal to admit he was holding a man.

- Annie Proulx -

From the vibration of the floorboard on which they both stood, Ennis could feel how hard Jack was shaking.

Ohhh - poor baby, he looks like he's about to cry here :\'(

Come here, Jake, I'll make it better.... ^-^ (t)
He will be eternally missed, but he will never be forgotten

Christopher Nolan, accepting the Best Supporting Actor Golden Globe on Heath's behalf.

He was, as an actor and a professional and a human being, one of a kind

Charles Roven, accepting Heath's BAFTA.

This award tonight would have humbly validated Heath's quiet determination to be truly accepted by you all here — his peers within an industry he so loved.

Kim Ledger, accepting Heath's Oscar.

Start crying....this is the penultimate....and they have been soooo nice...

His expressive face, says so much doesn't it? I don't think I've said how hot his hair is in these have I?

Well, it is. And these eyes are to die for.

Oh Rosie, you made my day with these pix.  Thank you.  He has such an expressive face.  Each one is a whole world in and of itself...

Thanks friends.  I'm off to a dinner party for the July 4th Holiday, but I couldn't help stopping by and enjoying these splendid pix!

I'm a bit late, but stopping by was well worth it!

He is like music: his image threads the mind like a melody.  And such music one cannot simply forget.  :)

Good night!

I believ this is one of Rosie's favorites!  ;)

A good favorite -- has lots to love!  Including cuddling in the sweater.

This one always animates my senses, specially scent and taste.
 :d)
But above all, my appetite.  >:D

I always find my focus on that beautiful hot stomach hair in profile.  Not that I've made a scientifid study of it in other men, but I say that Jake has the best stomach hair, and happy trail, is existence right now, from any angle.

I can picture all his high school classmates, girls and boys both, hot for him.  I sure would have been.  And I'm sure he was funny, too, which always enhances an already cool person.  And smart.  I wonder if there were any kids who hated him?

The Jarhead premiere pix are truly matchless!

Jarhead look:

This pic of Jake reminds me of someone we would be proud to have defending our country (so to speak, without getting into politics and war).

I think that pic didn't end up on the cutting room floor, no?  I think it was really taken from an actual scene in the movie.  It is hard to notice because the shot was probably just a single still that lasted a second.  But I had a feeling that this was from the movie.

I use the term production pic is a general sense -- it could be either behind the scenes  or actual production.  So long as it was taken on production or on set.  I usually use it when I am not sure which case applies.  :)

This didn't end up in the movie:

Thank yoiu for clarifying.  And you should know!  (How many days until DVD comes out?)

I've always wondered about this pic above -- so familiar from all the PR, I almost didn't realize it wasn't in the movie.

With pleasant dreams!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   >:D >:D >:D

You wanna be chewing gum? I do, and we know he likes juicy fruit right?   <^(

I have always loved jeans and a white shirt on men, preferably with loafers and white socks!  (That's kind of from the beatnik-hoodlum era.)  And Jake elevates this look to a fine art.  I especially love the sleeves rolled up.

I must just stop to say, his eyes in this pic...well, I don't know what I WAS going to say, I've just lost the power to concentrate..

OK, I've got it together to say, the upward shot, the eyes, the mole, the pink lips....whew this is a beauty....

Now Thomas, do you like red?

I don't think I've seen this.  It is just plain exquisite.  For all the reasons you said, Rosie.

Another love of yours. The Jake profile, and open mouthed here....

Love this, beautiful clean-shaven profile, and full of life as usual.  And, I love when his hair's a little long at the bottom of the back.

Royal blue suits him.  He is nobility, as far as I'm concerned.

Love him in this coloring -- I like rich-muted-rusty-weathered midtones...but of course I love him regardless.  But I am very fond of his "earth tones" look.  Well sh*t, I love him in his formal B/W look, too.

I love him tough.  And look at the veins in the arms.

Oh!  I really love this.  So manly, I might say.  Looks masculine and broad-shouldered, and the chest hair, and the handsome face, hair, all of it.  Not that he isn't always "manly," in manly's many guises, all of which I love...
