No surprise...but I never knew he said that, that he's into being a hunk.  Though I'd call him so much more than a hunk.  Like a sex kitten.  :*(

It's so obvious, though, that he enjoys giving us his body to look at, and all different guises of himself.  He is putting his looks to good use, not just his acting.  Not just his body, too, of course.  His face is so expressive, and he knows what to do with it, and does it freely.  I find it so refreshing, for him to enjoy being a "sex object" for us (whereas I resent women being "required" to be a sex object).

kathy

He is quite relaxed with his body.  I don't think he spends all day and night developing it.  HIs beauty is of a more natural, less staged quality.

He is not your typical hunk, I guess.  He has a brain and a heart to go with that body.

Exactly.  Quite the whole person.  And not typical at all.  (And apropos nothing, I think the world of his sister, too, the more I know about her.)

The distressed, scruffy look.  :)

Which I love, too.  Isn't it funny -- this, compared to that suit we were talking about?  He does both, and many more looks, all with perfection.  He really would have a career as a model if he hadn't been into acting.  Although I guess he wouldn't have gotten as much work -- he's only being photographed so much because of his acting...

Did I say that I love this series?  ;)

You sure did.  Also, now there's all this HANDS stuff tonight.  Quite nice.

Anyway, did y'all miss me last night?  I took one night off from Jake Pix and now I have like 12 pages to go through!  And now it's too late...so I'll be behind again tomorrow night.  Oh, the chore...of going through 12 or more pages of Jake Pix!

He tried not to look it here, but there is no mistaking the polish and the poise...

Yes, both kids did get such polish and poise, but they came by it honestly, so to speak.  The family are not socialites or anything like that.  Just intelligent artists.

First the eyes.. Then the hands..and the veins.. and then, and then...

The perfect boyish look.

The picture of boyish perfection.  Uber-boyish perfection.

I like this cafe series.

Again, from a classic series that I love, in color or in B&W.

He subtly breaks the formal elements in the composition.

Fascinating, that.  The human body against all that formal architectural detail.  And his human body.  And his body in jeans.

Love the composition.  Love the orange stripes.  Love Jake.

That's a rough but complete account.  :)

If I told you once, I told you a hundred times, the boy Jake does nothing for me.

But now...it's because of you, Tom, that I'm like this!  I used to just pass by the "boy" pictures, unless wanting to make a point of comparison.  But now, because of your appreciation, I am looking...  Thanks a lot.  I'm losing my beauty sleep on this thread.

I've never seen this before...there's something I really like about his expression. It's as though he's looking at you personally for some reason. And with a rather cheeky expression to boot! <^(

I LOVE this one.  And yes, Rosie, he has a way of doing that, of seeming to be looking at his audience, almost bypassing the camera.

Here's my Jake DVD collection <^( <^(

Wow, Twisted -- this is wonderful!  Thank you for sharing.  Of course I love seeing it as it's not all English language.  Very cool.

kathy

Note the hands  ;)

Thank you, Kathy. :)

Greenfrog: They are my childs hands there ;) :)
The most difficult scene was the paragraph where, on the mountain, Ennis holds Jack and rocks back and forth, humming, the moment mixed with childhood loss and his refusal to admit he was holding a man.

- Annie Proulx -

From the vibration of the floorboard on which they both stood, Ennis could feel how hard Jack was shaking.

Wow what a good collection, Twisted!
