Who can resist Pilot?  His life of contradictions?  His vulnerability?

I'm a terrible lurker, drooling all over the place and rarely posting. So here's a favourite, his expression so vintage Jake. Like, "Hey, you wanna go?" HELL YAH!!

I love that smile -- it's almost a smirk, no?  :)  Thanks!

This I find to be the most beautiful in the original set of pix.  Is there a bigger version of this?

I ADORE this one -- in many pix of that night, when they were together at the podium, we see Jake grinning proudly, it would appear, as Heath talks.  But here it's the opposite.  It's so charming.  I'm not pretending any "RPS" here, but it reminds me of the scene in the the little hallway/doorway with Alma, when Jack says about his little boy, and Ennis looks at Alma, with this expression of, as some have said, "Isn't he just great??"  So cute!

kathy

kathy, you have a most beautiful pic of the two of them here.  Aesthetically, I love the SAG pix, even though I hated how that entire show turned out.   They struck me a fresh and so young in their presentation.  True, it was "problematic" for some, but I just found their being caught unprepared to be quite disarming. And you are SPOT ON about the BBM scene that seems to recall this.  Wonderful post.  Thanks you.

Ah, thank you -- words to match his most beautiful beingness.

Then, I always marvel at how he seems to always maintain such grace.

kathy

He was impeccably brought up.  :)

Yes.  Fascinating.  As I mentioned earlier, all of Jake's different persona -- he is amazing.  But a little while ago, a bit more youghful, he does have that look that would fit the mad genius of another era.  Not that he doesn't still have that --  he does.  He can have such a wide range, I think, even though his looks now would seem to cast him more like a Cary Grant/leading man.

Sometimes I wonder...I mean, we are just a tad obsessive here.  I wonder if there were on-line fan groups for, say, Leonardo DiCaprio, that would go into such detail as we do.  But it seems to me those were teenage girl groups.  Just a stray thought.  And now back to the subject at hand...

kathy

Given some of DiCaprio's wonderful work, he deserves just as much, if not better.  Plus, I would like to think that we are Gyllenhaalics with a more mature appreciation for beauty and talent.

I would just say a different style of glasses would suit him.  Not these especially.  But basically, better without glasses of course, so we get his eyes without distraction.

kathy

But he is indeed true to character: he really looks like a grad student!

Glamorous Jake.

I like the way he stands..

I also find the Gyllenhaal-Aniston pix quite wonderful.

This pic seems so different in color.  There is a subtle nuance in B&W...

Good night, Friends. :)
